What would you do if you see a car crash and someone is trapped inside? Would you selflessly stop everything that you are doing and aid someone who needs help?
On Wednesday morning, out of nowhere, an SUV in Newport Beach, California crashed into a tree. There were 3 people trapped inside and in a matter of seconds, people stopped what they were doing and ran to help.
Every second counts as the SUV begins to emit smoke. It was a bad sign as people noticed how bad the crash was. The SUV has flipped on its side and smoke started coming out – this means that this SUV might just explode anytime.
In a matter of seconds, good Samaritans started running and helping. They didn’t care if they were in danger. You can clearly see in the video that these people didn’t even show any type of hesitation to help.
They immediately came to rescue. Exerting all their force to save the people trapped inside and to prevent the car from completely falling on its side.
Inside Edition was able to interview one of the good Samaritans that helped with the incident. This is Mike Ramirez, a regular on the gym across the street.
“A friend of mine said Michael, you have to go out there, we need your muscles,”
tells Mike as he recalls the incident.
“That’s when I saw, this could just explode right now but then I heard the lady screaming for help and I just knew that I had to be there,” as he continued.
As 2 of the 3 passengers were able to escape, there was still one lady trapped inside. You can definitely hear the lady as she screams for help. All the people who were helping didn’t waste any time. They were determined to help this stranger and they are working all together to make sure that everyone would be safe.
Pushing with all their might, these random strangers were able to push the SUV back on its wheels and was able to help the lady get out of the car.
This amazing scene was recorded by Kari Rene Hall – a journalist who was on the right place at the right time. She was able to capture how kind these Samaritans were as they pushed the tipping vehicle with all their force and determination back on its wheels.
It’s not every day that we see this kind of heroism. It’s not every day that we are faced in a situation where we have to decide if we should help someone in need or not.
This video can mean so much not just as inspiration but most especially to the people who were rescued. Indeed, these 20 good Samaritans were heroes and also inspirations to all of us.
