When it was time for Floridian roommates Georgia Mott and Taittyn Fischer to hunker down for Hurricane Irma, this included their pets as well.

Their pets just happened to be their two horses.

Goose and the pregnant Dixie are seen on video making their way through the roommates’ Okeechobee County home. You’d think that Goose and Dixie would prefer being outdoors and would be completely out of place inside the home.

That, however, was not the case.

“They are loving it,” Taittyn told FOX 2. “Isn’t fazing them whatsoever.”

They said that they decided to stay instead of evacuating because of how chaotic it would have been to leave Florida. They said they also stayed behind so they could help others when the storm was over.

Apparently, there weren’t any pet-friendly storm shelters in their county, according to FOX 2.

“There were a lot of amazing people all over the southeast offering their facilities to evacuees with horses,” Taittyn said. “As most of our friends who own horses moved them to concrete barns we got the idea to bring them inside the house, seeing as how it sits on a hill and is also made of concrete, we figured it was the safest choice.”

So, they cleaned out their laundry room and lined it with some hay so that Dixie and Goose would have their own little room.

The videos of their now indoor horses have gone viral on Facebook with more than 18,000 shares.

The post has gotten comments in various languages from around the world. Many of them are praising their efforts to stick it out with their animals.

“Glad there are humans like you that care about their animals during times like this,” one commenter said. “Bless you.”

It’s pretty hilarious to see a horse being led past someone’s kitchen table. Apparently, Taittyn thinks so too as you can hear her giggling in the background of her videos.

The update she gave on her horses as of Saturday, “Fat and happy!”

Hurricane Irma was downgraded to a Category 2 storm as of 5 p.m. on Sunday when it was 5 miles of Naples, Florida where it has begun to uproot a few trees and flood streets. Many are without power, according to CNN.

“Prayers for safety for you and animals,”a well-wisher told Taittyn on Facebook. “What a great thing to be able to do.”

“Good luck,” said another. “And Bless you for the love you show toward your pets.”
