Sometimes when two people meet, a bond is created that can not be duplicated or dismantled, no matter how different they are.

That’s how Triton the German Shepard feels about his buddy Clyde the cat.

Even though Clyde had been missing for 12 days, Triton never gave up on their friendship. The entire family missed Clyde, but he and Triton had a special bond. They were all worried about Clyde until a neighbor brought him home after seeing him in a “Lost and Found” ad.

Now Triton didn’t have to miss Clyde so much anymore and they could go back to being best friends.

Clyde was overjoyed to see his buddy Triton, and Triton was just as relieved. Their adorable reunion was all caught on video. It’s even gone viral with more than 410,000 views.

Triton obviously didn’t want to freak Clyde out. Afterall, he has no idea what Clyde had gone through over the past 12 days.

So, he gives Clyde his space for the most part and just sort of nuzzles only Clyde’s foot. He sniffs Clyde a little bit and waits for the cat to reciprocate his affection.

That’s when Clyde springs to his feet and nuzzles his head across Triton’s face.

“There we go, that’s what Clyde does,” Clyde’s human says in the background of the video.

He walks back and forth in front of Triton’s face so that Triton can get used to all the extra smells that he has acquired in the past few days. Then, Clyde goes in for the doubles nuzzle and just keep rubbing himself up against his German Shepard friend.

Clyde then plops himself down next to Triton so they can relax together.

“Oh, Clyde… happy Clyde is home,” said Clyde’s human.

There were some YouTubers who said that Clyde didn’t look happy at all to be home. They had their own hilarious theory on his whereabouts.

“Clyde doesn’t look excited to be home. He’s rubbing on that dog to reclaim it as his property,” the commenter wrote. “You know damn well he’s been out f***ing, fighting, and killing mice. That’s what outdoor cats do. I had an outdoor cat that was the neighborhood alpha cat and he had an eight cat crew meet him on the lawn for socializing and when my cat walked down the road they followed him. Gangsta. Clyde has the same look in his eyes. He’s been kicking ass and taking names.”
