Puppies can get very attached to their human companions.
If you’ve ever brought home a puppy before, you know that they will literally follow you around your entire house. Where you go, your puppy goes too.
When they’re young, they are just trying to learn their surroundings and you’re the most important thing in their environment, so they trust wherever you’re going will be good.
If you live with a dog, you might have noticed that they like to sit by your feet. There are a few reasons for this:
They might want you to pet them
They could be claiming you as theirs
They might need to be reassured that you love them
They could suffer from separation anxiety
They might just want to be near you
For Axl, a cute yellow lab, he definitely loves being with his owner. Axl’s owner shared the puppy’s growth chart on Imgur. Axl was born on 9/11, so he was named Axl Riley in tribute to one of the many heroic dogs that were at Ground Zero on 9/11/2001.
After Imgur user Rayzer12 shared the photos, they went viral online. There is one common theme within the pictures: they all are taken in the bathroom! And apparently, Axl loves laying inside of his owner’s pants, even if he’s on the toilet.
Week 7.5 – When Axl first came home
Week 8.5 – This might be a pattern
Week 9.5 – Axl has made himself comfortable
Week 10 – “Dad, you did you say treats?!”
Week 10.5 – Back to sleep
Week 11.5 – This isn’t getting tight at all…
Week 12 – Axl’s dad said “they grow so fast”
Week 12.5 – He wants to be with dad, but doesn’t actually look at dad
Week 13 – “If I fits, I sits”
Week 13.5 – Only a half week later, but you can see the difference
Week 14 – “I just want to be with you always dad”
Week 14.5 – They spent Christmas together in the bathroom, obviously
Week 15.5 – Someone might not fit in here anymore
Week 17 – But they’re still going to keep trying to fit!
Week 20 – Is Axl officially as big as his dad now?
One Year – And they’re still in the bathroom!
