Parrots have an entertaining way of communicating with us that makes them seem much cleverer than they are. They have the ability to mimic sounds, including human voices.

While parrots donโ€™t often understand what theyโ€™re saying, sometimes it seems too much of a coincidence that they come out with certain phrases of mimicked speech at certain times.

Like one parrot, aptly named Einstein. This popular Texan grey parrot has more than 80,000 subscribers on YouTube โ€“ and people canโ€™t get enough of his โ€œtalkingโ€.

Einstein, who was hatched way back in 1997, is still going strong with his online videos. Heโ€™s famous for his hilarious commentaries, sometimes live, on day-to-day objects and scenarios.

One of Einsteinโ€™s most popular videos has spread across the internet, and has racked up 89k views on Rumble Viral.

In the video, titled โ€œHelpful parrot provides instruction for lunch preparationโ€, Einstein can be seen sitting in an open kitchen drawer while his human dad gets to work making his lunch.

It really does seem that dad and Einstein can communicate with one another. When dad says heโ€™ll be getting started on lunch, Einstein says, โ€œI can get you some waterโ€. Dad replies to this: โ€œI can get you some water, I can get you some lunchโ€. Bless!

The comedy starts when Dad starts banging and chopping food off camera, and Einstein mimics the sound almost perfectly.

Dad gets busy washing a bowl, and continues to chat to Einstein. Einstein says, โ€œNot coolโ€, and dad replies, โ€œI havenโ€™t even heated it up yet โ€“ why would you think that?โ€ To someone who was listening into the conversation, the pair sound like any two family members in the kitchen.

Of course, Einstein is still a parrot, and he lets out a few whistles and plays with a toy while he waits for dad to get on with things.

He then goes back to mimicking dadโ€™s chopping while dad fills his water.

We soon get an insight into Einsteinโ€™s diet preferences when he says almost hopefully to dad: โ€œRedbud corn?โ€

Unfortunately, redbud corn isnโ€™t on the menu today. Dad informs him that heโ€™s just going to have birdie bread today โ€“ delicious.

Next, dad moves over to the microwave, and asks if Einstein can help. Weโ€™re not sure what to expect at this point, until Einstein mimics a microwave beep, and dad thanks him for his contribution. When dad puts the food into the microwave and turns it on, we can hear that Einsteinโ€™s impression was pretty bang-on!

The pair really are something of an understated comedy duo. Thereโ€™s no playing up to the camera โ€“ just an honest conversation between the two, which just happens to be pretty amusing.

We imagine dad has probably explained to him in the past why Einstein couldnโ€™t get stuck into his food straightaway. Unfortunately, the laws of the microwave are against us all, even birds.

As dad places his food down on the side, Einstein starts to make a bizarre noise that sounds like a cat hissing. This is explained when dad begins to blow on the bread to cool it down.

With a bit of prompting from dad, Einstein heads over to his prepared lunch and starts nibbling away on his bread.

This is the only time he actually falls silent โ€“ apart from when dad puts his food in the microwave and Einstein canโ€™t resist copying the beeping noises.
