Blossom had been reportedly living on the streets of Los Angeles for weeks. She had been wandering around some backyards in the neighborhood looking for scraps and making friends with the local dogs.
Eventually, some people in the neighborhood called rescue organization Hope for Paws to get her off the streets.
When rescuers found her, she was dangerously darting in and out of traffic as she tried to evade them. It was quite the ordeal to try and reach Blossom safely.
The Hope for Paws rescue crew even had to ask a Fed Ex truck to stop while they tracked the chihuahua down.
Blossom ran into a neighbor’s yard to seek refuge with two of her doggy friends. When rescuers happened upon her, the poor pup was terrified and shaking.
They were finally able to get a leash on her though she barked furiously at the rescuers out of fear and protest.
Despite this, her neighbors insisted that Blossom was “the sweetest thing.” And they ended up being right, she was just a little scared. Blossom eventually stopped her barking and let her rescuers love and pet her.
The team from Hope for Paws immediately brought Blossom to a vet to get checked out.
She was a little malnourished and dirty so they cleaned her up, gave her a bath, a good meal, and a cozy place to sleep.
“Still a little confused, Blossom was now hopeful because life just got a lot better in just two hours,” her rescue video explained.
Blossom eventually warmed up to the staff around her and was more at ease. She must have realized that she was in loving hands and would no longer have to live a hard life on the streets.
She was now being loved and cared for by the staff at Hope For Paws until the crew at L.A. Animal Rescue helped her find a forever home.
Now Blossom has a safe home where she gets to play with her other doggie siblings all day, as well as her humans who take good care of her.
She’s now properly fed, washed, healthy and very very loved.
