2 Kittens can’t get enough of cuddling with cop who rescued them
It's safe to say that they're best friends now.

Recently in Texas, two police officers were out and about in the community. They were just finishing up their reports on a shoplifting issue when all of a sudden, a passerby came up to them and asked for help.

It turns out that there were meows coming from a car — they could actually hear them — and this led the passerby to believe that there were cats who were trapped inside of the car.

It’s not every day that you hear a bunch of meows coming from a vehicle. Something was definitely up.

So the cops came over and helped. They inspected the car and it turns out the bystander was right to trust their gut instinct, because they discovered two small kittens that were trapped inside the bumper of the car.

The cops soon found that the car owner did not own the poor kittens, so the two of them — Officer Joe Bob Adkins and Officer Hilliard — pulled each kitchen out from under and into safety.

Imagine if you were these kittens. If someone had just come to save you after being stuck in a terrifying spot, you would be so happy and forever grateful. After all, they saved your life!

So it was clear that these two little kitties were overcome with gratitude. They were so happy to be saved and they showed their appreciation by giving the cops lots of love and affection.

After the officers drove the kittens to the veterinarian, they discovered that they were only 6-weeks-old and their health was in solid shape.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the kittens had no owner to return to, so that is when Officer Adkins stepped in and volunteered to adopt both of the kittens. He would go on to name them Max and TJ, according to Relay Hero.

Once the kittens were saved, they couldn’t stop cuddling with the officers even if they tried! They were holding the kittens in their arms as they crawled up to their faces and gave them hugs and kisses. They were so small at the time, too, their mother must have gotten separated from them along the way.

The Arlington Police Department took to Facebook and Twitter to share photos of the officers with their newfound kittens.

“Who says Firefighters are the only ones who rescue kittens?” They wrote. “While being dispatched to an unrelated call [at] TJ Maxx, the manager informed Officers Adkins & Hilliard about 2 kittens stuck underneath the back of a car in the lot. Both rescued & will be going to a great home!”

The two cops and their two new kittens took plenty of selfies together to celebrate the brand new additions to the family. They look so happy and at the peace in the photos too, it’s heart to look at it without our hearts completely bursting!

It’s unfortunate that these kittens were stuck in trouble but we are so happy that a bystander spoke up and saved their lives.
