Lean, Mean, And Ready To Clean
These days, having a pet to keep you company has become increasingly more important due to the quarantine. You can share with them all of your important secrets, laugh with them through all your terrible jokes, and also play and cuddle with them to keep you entertained. It’s all fun and games until it’s time to give them a bath. For some, the task is as easy as splish-splash and make a dash.
For others, it can be a process to simply decide they want to get in the bathtub. That was the story for a husky and his mommy when she asked the pup to go for a shower, but the pup refuted the offer in the most adorable way possible.
Huskys are known to have a somewhat stubborn attitude; they will express how they feel and make you hear it over and over again. Unfortunately for its owner, it was reluctant to take his mom’s offer on taking a bath and now sits with this front paws stretched trying to avoid the bathtub as much as he can. The husky pup was laying on a fellow human’s lap when the conversation first began.
The husky’s mommy asks, “Do you wanna take a bath? Let’s go take a bath!”, as the puppy whimpered at her in dismay. It seems he wasn’t looking to cooperate as the cute pup begins to argue why he should be acquitted of all his dirty crimes. After all, Siberian Huskies are amongst the most intelligent dog breed and with that comes a very independent personality to boot.
“You smell better and you look better if you take a bath,” said the husky momma. This tactic was going nowhere as the pup still demanded to stay put and continuously whimper to get what it wants. After a long exchange of trying to get the pup in the bathtub, the mommy husky asked if he did indeed prefer to stay, to which the husky pup nodded and barked as if saying, “yes.”

Immediately the video was an instant sensation when it was posted earning more than two million views on YouTube. The internet could not get enough of the hilarious interaction. Some people decided to share their comments and experiences with their own pups to get them to shower.
“My baby always knew what ‘bath’ meant. She would go hid under the kitchen table and I would have to pull the chairs out, to get her. Miss you Shug,” one commenter typed. Others wrote funny comments such as, “That Husky made some very valid arguments there, I’m gonna side with him this time.”
Some tips and tricks for getting your dog, or pet, comfortable to take a shower would be to be patient and get your pet to associate the process with something they are comfortable with. Having treats and rewards to give to your pet can act as the initiative they need to start listening to your instructions better. Always make sure you listen and pay attention to their queues since they can show you what works with them and what doesn’t.
