It’s not easy when a pet passes away, there’s no way around it, only through it. Dr. Travis is asked what his favorite memory of Nala is and has an answer ready.
“Honestly, she is the most gentle, kind, thing I’ve ever come across in my life. She is literally who I wish everyone could be, she’s such a wonderful living creature. So it’s not so much just about my attachment to her. I just think about all the people’s lives she’s touched. In the 17 years, I’ve had her, it’s been through every single experience. Medical school, residency, and so many people…She’s just so sweet, it melts my heart.”
The love they shared is so apparent, Dr. Travis is encouraged to keep her memory alive by his co-hosts.
When a pet dies, we’re often depressed, but why not honor their passing with the happy memories you shared? That’s what Dr. Travis and his co-host talk about in this heart-warming video.
“You know, rain storms always give way to rainbows and hope. And that love that Nala gave you will always be there.” Said another Doctor appearing on the show.” Dr. Travis went on to say: “I literally appreciate every single day she has left. But I’m also glad you said to keep memories alive because I just had a bunch of pictures framed and I was asking my self this question: ‘Is this a smart move or not? Do I want these around after she’s gone?’ And it sounds like the answer is yes. To little Nala, love you girl.
What an amazing story, It’s obvious that Dr. Travis is deeply connected to Nala.
Since this video was posted, Nala succumbed to her age and passed away, but she lives on in Dr. Travis’s heart. Co-host Dr. Andrew Ordon had also lost his beloved dog, LuLu before Nala passed away. The two Doctors reminisced about their pooches.
