Delivery drivers play an important role in our everyday lives, especially when the pandemic started. They hustle day by day just to deliver our most-awaited packages to our front doors. These hard workers on wheels make sure we get our parcels on time and without any damage.

And they’re doing their job even under severe weather conditions.

It sure is freezing cold during winter, and for any delivery driver, the struggle becomes real when the road gets filled with thick ice. It stops them in their tracks resulting in them not being able to fulfill their duty.

Another thing is when the outdoor temperature gets extremely high! It doesn’t just make drivers sweat in buckets but it could also result in severe health conditions like dehydration or worse, heat stroke.

A shocking video shows the reality of delivery drivers and our world’s current weather condition.

Just recently in Arizona, a Ring doorbell camera caught an alarming video that will make us realize the effects of Climate Change and Global Warming.

The footage shows a UPS delivery guy in distress due to the extreme heat of the sun. He can be seen struggling his way to the front door to deliver an enveloped parcel. After dropping the package, he then collapses and falls onto the ground.

He decides to lay down for a bit to recover his strength. Then he gets up with both his hands shaking while trying to reach for the doorbell. After fulfilling the delivery, the poor man started limping back to his truck.

As it turns out, that day, the outdoor average temperature was recorded at a whopping 110°!

“Sickening!”

That’s the realization of the homeowner, Brian Enriquez when he saw what his Ring camera had recorded.

“It’s just a sickening feeling that you don’t know what’s going to happen to that guy if he goes to the next house or to his truck. You can see in the video he’s looking at his hands, shaking his hands, I mean he could have a mini-stroke or anything,” he said.

Surprisingly, it turns out that UPS trucks have no air conditioning, resulting in their drivers being drenched in sweat. In fact, their drivers are taking to social media to share their everyday predicaments inside their trucks.

“To get air through the truck, the best way is we always leave the doors open,” one driver said.

“Fine.”

In a statement, UPS followed up on the driver’s condition and said he was “fine.” They also explained why their delivery trucks have no air conditioning.

“Our package delivery vehicles make frequent stops, making air conditioning ineffective,” the company said.

“It’s getting hot in here!”
