Itโ€™s amazing how much children can learn in such a short space of time, and three-year-old Adia Leidums is putting grown adults to shame with her skiing skills.

At two years old, most children have only just learned how to walk in the last couple of years- but Adia looks so natural on the skis, itโ€™s as if sheโ€™d been doing this for years!

Of course, her dad always gives her a little pep talk before the pair begin to ski.

And it seems that these pep talks are paying off, as Adia has started giving herself some words of wisdom as she hits the slopes!

Adiaโ€™s little ski monologues are so cute that Adiaโ€™s parents, Erich Leidums and Courtney Haeusler, decided to attach a microphone to her so that we can hear exactly what sheโ€™s saying.

โ€œI got the idea a couple of years back from a hockey dad that micโ€™d up his son at a practice to catch his narration and self-monologue,โ€ Erich told Coast Mountain News, explaining that Adiaโ€™s self-talk was well worth capturing.

In some adorable footage taken at Fernie Alpine Resort, Erich gives his daughter a quick briefing before they begin their descent through a forested area.

Warmer temperatures had melted some of the snow away, so Erich advised Adia to either go around any dirt, or go over the dirt slowly.

As the pair begin their descent, you can hear every word that Adia utters to herself- and itโ€™s adorable.

Reminding herself of what sheโ€™s been taught, Adia tells herself to โ€œgo around the dirtโ€ฆ walk like a duck-โ€ and at one point, she becomes distracted when she spots a cat next to the slope, and slows down to say, โ€œhi kitty cat.โ€

โ€œWe would hear those things before we micโ€™d her up, she would say those things,โ€ Erich explained. โ€œWhen I was using my go-pro without the mic, I would try to get closer to her, and after she fell and got up sheโ€™d have something to say to the camera but I always had to get really close. With a microphone it doesnโ€™t miss anything she says. Any sigh, laugh or giggle- itโ€™s pretty adorable.โ€

Itโ€™s the most precious thing to observe what itโ€™s like to ski through the eyes of a three-year-old, and we need more videos!

Thankfully, Erich has no plans to stop documenting his future Olympic skierโ€™s monologues, and promises to treat us to more ski videos, as well as hiking and paddling videos as well!

โ€œIโ€™ll keep documenting and micing her up next year. We hike mountains and paddle and all that sort of stuff so weโ€™ll be documenting our journeys here moving forward.โ€

Along with her siblings Luca (five) and August (seven), Adia has been skiing since Erich could first get her to stay in a pair of ski boots, and is often featured on her dadโ€™s YouTube channel, That Mountain Life.
