One fact of life that is sadly inevitable is death.
No matter how much we wish it didn’t happen, we must always say goodbye to our loved ones. While it is normally our grandparents, and then our parents much later in life, sometimes things don’t work out that way.
Parents can get sick and pass away when their children are still little or only just teenagers. It is heartbreaking to know that those young children will grow up without their loved one.
For one woman, she lost her father when she was only 15 years old.
That is such a critical time in young woman’s life and losing such an important person can be even more devastating than usual.
Bailey Sellers father passed away five years ago. But before his death, the doting father did something special for his daughter.
Even though he could no longer be with his daughter, he made sure she would never forget him. And now the world knows exactly how much he loved and cared about her.
Many women get flowers from their fathers on their birthdays, and Bailey is no different. Even though her father is no longer alive, he still sends her flowers.
She shared the beautiful plan her father put in place before his death on her Twitter feed.
My dad passed away when I was 16 from cancer and before he died he pre payed flowers so i could receive them every year on my birthday. Well this is my 21st birthday flowers and the last. Miss you so much daddy.
Along with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, Bailey’s father sent her a handwritten card with a loving message.
“This is my last love letter to you until we meet again,” her father wrote. “I do not want you to shed another tear for me my baby girl for I am in a better place. Be happy and live life to the fullest,” he wrote. “I will still be with you through every milestone, just look around and there I will be.”
Aren’t these flowers just beautiful?
“Ever since my dad passed away I’ve hated my birthday and I dread it every year because he always made it so special,” Bailey said to The New York Post. “I was especially dreading my 21st because I knew it would be the last year.”
Her father was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer just two weeks after Christmas in 2012. He was given only two weeks to live at the time of his diagnosis, but he survived for six more months before passing away.
