Your partner in life and in marriage should make you want to be the best version of yourself โ€“ and this story is the perfect example of just that.

Meet Ethan Suplee. He is an American film and television actor who is best known for his roles in the movies American History X and The Wolf of Wall Street, to name a few.

In an interview with People, Suplee shared that the heaviest weight he had before was 536 lbs.

He also added that he weighed himself using freight scales in a shipping center since those numbers arenโ€™t available on the weighing scales found in doctorโ€™s offices.

For Suplee, food was his comfort.

Yet despite this, he found it embarrassing to eat in public.

He liked to eat alone, preferably at night. As he explains, he was confident he knows all the 24-hour drive-throughs in Los Angeles when he tries to scour the city of angels for an open restaurant to satisfy his cravings. He even admitted that during some points in his life, he ate to the point of intoxication.

Some of his before-transformation pictures were shown initially shown on the video, and they make him look like a whole different person.

The answer might sound cheesy for some of you yet itโ€™s the truth: Ethan Suplee changed for love.

He said his weight-loss journey started in 2002 after he met his then-girlfriend now-wife Brandy Lewis, the younger sister of actress and singer Juliette Lewis.

Not that Lewis didnโ€™t accept his physique beforeโ€”she truly accepted him for who and what he was.

But for the first time in Supleeโ€™s life, he became interested in the future and having experiences with Lewis. And he admitted to himself that normal things like spending a day walking around a museum, going on a trip, or hiking werenโ€™t something he can do physically in his former state.

And how did he do it?

Unfortunately, none of the standard diets worked for him.

Eventually, he figured out that taking diet breaks and maintenance periods helped him achieve his goal. He used a combination of workouts and being mindful of his calorie-intake.

And after years of rigorous exercise and discipline, his incredible body transformation landed him a spot in Menโ€™s Health, a health and fitness website dedicated to men.

Now, he has six-pack abs, ripped arms and legs that would put Channing Tatum to shame.

But what sets him apart from the other models that were featured on the website was his choice to have his pictures not retouched in any way.

For Suplee, the big part of having a massive weight loss is loose skin at it is something he thinks is not widely discussed anywhere.

He used the opportunity to show the people that it is normal and not something you should be ashamed about.
