If you have ever resided in a rural area, you have likely come into contact with deer. Like snow in the winter, deer are extremely common and unavoidable. Whether you’ve seen them from the confines of your vehicle, hiking a walking trail, or even in your backyard, they are ever-present.

A woman who goes by the name of Amscolie on the image-sharing website, Imgur, posts photos of the wildlife that she encounters around her home. In her bio, she states that she is a wildlife rehabilitator.

“I raise orphaned wildlife,” she wrote.

One of the photos she shared captured the attention and hearts of many. She posted a photo of three small fawns resting on the floor of her home. The three, and undeniably cute fawns pose for the photo, staring blankly into the camera.

Amscolie wrote the deer were seeking shelter from a storm that was coming in.

She went outside to check on the deer but couldn’t find them anywhere. She accidentally left the back door open and the deer seized the opportunity to rest in a dry and warm place.

When she came in, she found the deer already waiting for her!

“Recently, the back door was open as a storm was coming. The deer were nowhere to be found. Went inside, was heading to the front door, only to see them next to an end table in the living room. Told them they could sleep in the house for the night because it was going to be nasty.”

One quick look at Amiscolie’s profile on Imgur shows that the user cares deeply for wildlife. Not only does she enjoy the company of wildlife around her, they seem to enjoy her as well. The deer are often right outside her window.

Even the dog seems to have taken a liking to his furry friends.

She has even given the deer names and is able to point out which ones are which!

She even has a skunk named Flower who is apparently close to one of the fawns named Bambi. (photo)

One of the photos on Amiscolie’s page show several deer in her yard, which is fenced. She wrote that she had 7 fawns that she was caring for in just that year alone. She mentioned that one, Bea, was from the first batch of fawns she ever cared for but still returned to look after the new ones.

The deer have become a big part of her family. Her mom also helps care for the deer as well. When she became engaged, she did a photoshoot and included one of the deer in the announcement photos that she sent out to their families.

She wrote, “While trying to figure out what photos I wanted to take for a save the date, I came across some featuring people’s dogs and decided to include one of my creatures.”

“I figured it was a really great way to tell his extended family everything they needed to know about the girl he is marrying.”

Amiscolie says that deer show their affection the same ways as dogs do, by planting non-stop kisses on you.

Deer are amazing animals that seem to find fun ways to interact with humans. Check out these deer stopping to check traffic before crossing the road!

We hope the best for Amiscolie and her extended wildlife family!
