While both singers are generally classified as “country” stars, the song itself defies genre – it’s a soulful ballad. And, fun fact, it was originally titled “Stupid”!
We’re glad he changed it since we don’t think it would have had the same impact with those lyrics.

While her tour has been interrupted by the pandemic, she can’t wait to get back out on the road. And no doubt fans are eager too. But in the meantime, they can catch her on her YouTube channel.
Crazy, by Casi Joy
The singer recorded her cover of “Crazy” in 2018 and since uploading it to YouTube, it’s been viewed over 100,000 times.
And while it’s hard to cover a classic, viewers were thrilled with her vocals.
“I’m really critical when it comes to covers of this song and this one absolutely rules haha,” said a fan.
The singer wrote in her caption that Patsy Cline had been a major influence on her music, and it shows.
“WOW 👏 this is the closest I’ve ever heard anyone come to putting the feeling into the song like Patsy did…..this was 👍GREAT!,” write another viewer.
The future
While she graduated from Park University with a bachelor’s degree in education, Casi Joy “has since been touring the US and Canada in her tour bus that she now lives in full time.”
When she’s not performing, she’s working on her social media following which is growing by the month. Her second EP “The Bright Side,” debuted at #19 on the iTunes Country Album Charts recently and she’s planning much more music in the future.

She’s already shared the stage with acts including Montgomery Gentry, Maren Morris, Keith Urban, Carly Pearce, Easton Corbin, and Dustin Lynch. Now living in Nashville, she also returns to her childhood home Kansas City to sing the National Anthem for the Kansas City Chiefs, American Royal, and KC Royals games (another notably difficult song that required a wide vocal range).
If this is the first time you’ve heard of Casi Joy, it certainly won’t be the last.
