Family pets can be the center of love for everyone in the home. Pets are always there to love you and show you affection. So, it is only fair that owners show this love and affection back to their pets. This is what happened in the most heartwarming expression of love between a family dog named Lady and her human dad. Lucky for us, Lady’s human mother, Jen Anderson, caught the moment on camera!
Lady was born in a rescue shelter because the rescue shelter took in Lady’s pregnant mother. It was not long before Lady was adopted into her forever home though, as Jen and her family adopted Lady at nine weeks old. Lady was adopted into not only a human family but a family with other dogs as well. Lady is one lucky dog!
“If Lady isn’t near you, then she is on you … She is very affectionate, very eager to please, loves to snuggle and give spitty pittie kisses!”
Lady has had a special place in their home ever since. One day when Jen was getting ready to leave for a shopping trip with her fiancé she started to hear music coming from another room. Following the music, she also heard her fiancé start to sing. She snuck up to the room to see what was happening and could not believe her eyes!
“I grabbed my phone, put it on record and headed down the hall,” Anderson said. “I tiptoed!”
Jen’s fiancé was singing not to himself, but directly to Lady. Jen was able to capture the special moment on film without her fiancé or Lady ever noticing her. Jen fell even more in love with her fiancé in that moment without him even realizing it. He was singing the beloved classic “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin. Her fiancé’s heartwarming performance was his secret way to show his love for Lady. When a significant other loves the family pet as much as they do, it is nearly impossible to not fall more in love.
It was not only Lady that loved her one on one time with her dad. Jen states that “I was just at the right place at the right time and caught this special heart-melting moment, which is why I fell in love with him in the first place and Lady clearly feels the same.”
He did not only sing to Lady though, during one break in the song he told Lady, “Lady I am in love” while looking directly at her who was sitting right next to his chair and not moving an inch from him. Also, through the entire video he was petting Lady and giving her his full attention and love. Just like the song he is singing, the love between this owner and pet is amore!
After watching this video and the great love that Jen’s fiancé has for Lady, it is quite clear that Jen Anderson has found herself a keeper! What a special moment that she was able to witness and now have forever.
