If you have or have ever had a dog you know with all the cuteness and love that comes with them also comes silliness, curiosity, and sometimes even absolute destruction. Whether that is to our couches, shoes, pillows, blankets, or any other item in the house they can find while left alone our pets sure know how to teach us patience. Although, we still do our very best to try and train them to be able to leave our precious items alone sometimes the curiosity to investigate, especially, when that curiosity has to do with food can get the best of them.

A new challenge has been spreading through our social media where parents and dog owners all over the world are testing the will of their children and pets. This challenge is called the #LeaveItChallenge. The challenge is to place a delicious treat in front of the child or pet and tell them to leave it multiple times. Then the parent or owner leaves the room while the camera records how long the child or pet can resist the temptation that lies before them. A popular YouTuber named Courtney who created an account under her dog Tucker’s name decided to put him to the ultimate test to see if he would pass.

For the challenge, Courtney decided to test her pup Tucker with something he loves more than anything…chicken. For this challenge, Courtney does not make it easy for Tucker by just using a small amount of chicken for him to resist but instead an entire roasted chicken.

In the video, Courtney removes the roasted chicken removes from the oven and brings it over to the table to sit with Tucker. As she begins to cut into the chicken with Tucker watching closely, she receives a phone call. As she goes to walk away to take the call she makes sure to give stern instructions to Tucker to not touch the chicken, as well as, to stay and leave it until she comes back. As if this video wasn’t already funny what makes it truly special is that Courtney provides a sneak-peek into Tucker’s thoughts by providing them in the video.

As Tucker watches his mom walk away he does his absolute best to remain calm and resist the temptation of tasting the chicken in front of him. He sits and waits ever so patiently for mom to finally return but as he waits he does inch a little closer to get a better look.

After some time, the torture is over and Courtney finally returns to share the special chicken feast with Tucker. They celebrate with a few bites of the chicken, however, the celebration is short-lived when Courtney decides to try testing him one more time telling him she has to go get a napkin and while she is away to leave it once more.

So once more Tucker is left alone but one thing is different he has had a taste of the delicious chicken. Now that he knows how good the chicken it is almost too much to resist. So he goes to make sure the coast is clear and once he confirms he happily gallops back to his treat and begins his celebratory feast.

When Courtney finally comes back she discovers Tucker couldn’t resist the temptation twice but who can blame him! She gently pushes his face and cleans up the mess. Overall, Tucker proved he can pass the ultimate test if he truly tries but once he has a taste of his favorite meal he must feast.
