The funniest things usually happen when they’re least expected, so it’s not often that we actually capture them on video. That’s what happened last month when this weatherman was doing the forecast from home, his cats decided to steal the show while having a frisky showdown live for everyone to see.

Weatherman goes viral for his cats fighting in the back round while he reports the forecast live from home
COVID-19 is changing almost every aspect of life, one of the things it’s changed is how the news does their reporting. Instead of doing the broadcast from a studio, they’ve been forced to report from home where funny and spontaneous things can happen.
Bill Steffen is a meteorologist in West Michigan, who went viral last month but not for the weather. It was for something hilarious that his cats did in view of the camera. At the beginning of the video, you can see Steffen reporting with his cats behind him.
Out of nowhere, one of the cats pounces on the other and the fight begins
People watching the news couldn’t believe what they were seeing, one of the cats was attacking the other for everyone to see. After the first battle, the video switched to the typical news forecast before coming back to the fighting cats.
When the video comes back to Steffen sitting in his house, still in the back round is his cats going at it. The bigger of the two was laying on his back, while the feistier one continues relentlessly clawing at him.
Once round two is over, the camera goes back to the weather before the final round of the catfight begins
The first two rounds pale in comparison to the third and final round. The big white cat is still laying on his back, but this time he’s putting up a good defense against the smaller bullying cat.
He wraps his paws around the other cat as he attacks, before scaring his tormentor away for enough time to scramble back onto his feet. Once the other cat is on his feet as well, a standoff starts.

By this time, everyone watching Steffen’s forecast reporting is completely focused on the cats battling it out. After three rounds of fighting, the cats are now standing nose to nose staring each other down. The bigger white cat gets into a fighting stance as if he’s going to attack, but then the video ends right before he has time to strike.
I really wish the video would have kept going, you can tell it was just about to get good again. People on social media couldn’t get enough of the random cat battle, the video went viral and viewers from all over watched the cats video-bombing their meteorologist father.
The video has been viewed almost 117k times, with 3.5k hitting the thumbs up and hundreds leaving comments
