Online shopping can make life so much easier, but this delivery experience was rather inconvenient for one UPS customer.
Jessie Lawrence recently became trapped in his apartment when a UPS delivery person left his package lodged underneath his door handle, preventing him from being able to open his door.
Shortly after maintenance busted him out of his apartment, Jessie posted this disaster to Twitter and UPS’s response was…unhelpful to say the least.
I'm sorry your for this. I'll be glad to assist you. Please click the link below to DM us the details of your concern. ^TB https://t.co/wKJHDXWGRQ

Twitter users, naturally, shared their thoughts…
"I'm sorry your for this"
— P1 Meteos (@dark_meteos) September 3, 2017
The person running their twitter is the same person who delivered your package

And about that blocked door…
If this was my place's maintenance, they'd find my malnourished, dehydrated body after not payment of rent

Omg that's so true, that's like almost everyone living in apartments. I wonder if he called or texted maintenance "Dude im locked in lolz ?"

But some were skeptical…
Not sure about your handle situation, but couldn't you turn the handle up instead of down?

the way the door jamb looks in this photo, the door opens inward and away from the delivered box and foreground in the photo
— Small Biz IT (@SBizITdotCOM) September 4, 2017
no way the driver did that, your neighbor did that
— D.Mar (@whyyDee) September 4, 2017
And who took the photo, anyway?
It was obviously taken by the maintenance guy, some people just live for the banter
— Anis-O (@anis_Zz) September 4, 2017
Very long retractable selfie stick from upstairs.

The non-believers were quickly shut down though.
But the door can not go inwards until after the knob is pushed down, which the box made impossible. Next.

I like how a bunch of people are trying to tell you your handle might lift up as if you wouldn't bloody know.
— Ryan Brown (@Toadsanime) September 4, 2017
Of course, there were puns…
Looks like you got…(•_•) ( •_•)>⌐■-■ (⌐■_■)…boxed in.
— Jason Maestas (@jasonmaestas) September 4, 2017
Glad you handled the situation ?
— BlakeneySZN (@CHImexiii) September 4, 2017
Umm, and what was in the box, anyway?
I can't believe no one has asked what you bought???
— mjkolhoff (@MJKolhoff) September 4, 2017
Really long spaghetti noodles, I'm hoping. ?

Plot twist: the package was a door stopper

Who knew that this was not the first time UPS had locked someone in!
This happened to me once!! pic.twitter.com/MJlBdiGYg1

Note to UPS delivery people: maybe avoid the vicinity of the door handle when leaving a package at someone’s door.
