A new viral clip has been circulating on Facebook and it goes to show why we love Trader Joe’s so much – the employees.
Everyone loves Trader Joe’s. Whether it’s their delicious frozen goods, yummy snacks, or unbelievable deals on wine – you just can’t beat it! But it’s also the employees that make the store so special. The company prides itself on having happy employees that truly like (even love!) their jobs.
In fact, Trader Joe’s even has their own podcast called Inside Trader Joe’s, and they delve into what makes their employees so special. However, without having to listen to the podcast, you could just watch this awesome video that was uploaded to Facebook.
The viral video shows an employee soothing a crying toddler in the checkout line – by breaking out into song and dance!
When it comes to being an employee who goes above and beyond for their customers, Tori Alexander is a pro. She works at Trader Joe’s and absolutely loves coming to work and has become quite close with all of her co-workers as well as the regular customers.
Recently, while Tori was working the cash register during a normal day on the job, a toddler named Julian was in line with his mom and let’s just say he was not a happy camper. Instead of ignoring the fussy and crying child, Tori decided she’d try and do something to cheer him up instead.
Julian sat in the cart crying his little heart out when Tori all of a sudden started to sing and chant “We say we love, Ju! We say we love, Ju!”
As Tori cheerily chanted and danced for the toddler, two of her co-workers didn’t think twice before hopping in. As they danced and sang for the toddler, they continued to bag the groceries with happy energy. One of them even took the time to stop and do the robot!
It wasn’t long before the exciting distraction worked! Julian’s frown and tears turned into smiles and giggles. How could you possibly cry at a time like this? There was so much entertainment around him!
Thankfully for us, Julian’s mom, Alexandra Seba, was filming the adorable scenario and Tori shared the 14-second clip on Facebook.
As Tori and her colleagues dance and sing behind the cash register, you can hear Julian’s mom laugh behind the camera as she’s filming. These shenanigans would put a smile on anyone’s face!

After Tori proudly shared the precious moment online, Alexandra wrote into Love What Matters to share the story as well. It was a moment that made her realize that although being a mother can be difficult – you really do have a community around you to help you when you need it.
