The innocence of animals and babies is something that pairs so well together. I mean, who doesn’t love seeing a video of babies and puppies playing together? Those special human-animal interactions are just something special.

One scene that’s warming hearts took place in Victoria, Australia – and it involves a toddler and a stable of horses. Don’t be surprised if it has you saying, “aww.”

You can tell if a kid has been raised around animals. In the video below, we can obviously see how one little kid has a deep connection with her uncle’s horses.

The toddler’s mom gave us some insight into the story! The family went on a Christmas vacation to see their uncle in St. Leonard’s. That uncle happened to have a horse stable that the toddler got the chance to explore!

Soon, there was an established morning routine that HAD to be done if the toddler was going to be happy for the day!

One of the days the girl’s parents hit record to capture the amazing interactions they’d been witnessing. She starts by walking up to the first horse she sees in the stable and pets its nose. Then in response, the horse leans down more and she’s able to give it a sweet kiss. Every day the tot needed to go see the horses and say hello.

On to the next!

Pen after pen the little girl wobbled. The horses had to get down pretty low to say hello, but they seem to know that this little human just want to say hello. They all oblige and get a special smooch from the girl!

So, who else wants some love?

The girl, who’s peanut-sized and in diapers, is not afraid at all to get close with each horse at their pen door. They seem so calm and comfortable when she approaches, too.

Moving down the line, each horse received either a pat or a smooch – some get both!

After recording the footage, the girl’s parents decided it was too adorable not to post online.

The mom explained in the video’s description:

“Our daughter loves animals, so you can imagine how excited she was visiting her uncle’s stables in St Leonard’s at Christmas time. She spent every morning running to the stables to check on the horses, patting, feeding and kissing them. She adores horses and is very gentle with them, and they looked forward to her visits, each popping their heads out to greet her as she passed.”

We can see just how intelligent horses are in moments like this. They learned who she was and became a part of her routine like it was nothing.

According to an article from the Independent, researchers discovered through a study that horses can detect human emotions from facial expressions, and remember them afterward.

University of Sussex animal behavior professor, Karen Combs, explained:

“What we’ve found is that horses can not only read human facial expressions but they can also remember a person’s previous emotional state when they meet them later that day – and, crucially, that they adapt their behaviour accordingly.”

“You can almost hear the horses saying “Good morning, little human!!” So cute!”
