When youโre young and small, the world can often seem like a vast and scary place.
You donโt often know why things are happening, so the littlest things can be frightening to you. Especially for those who donโt understand the weather system, thunderstorms can be a very scary event.

As we all know, dogs donโt have the greatest relationship with thunderstorms. They have a much stronger ability to hear a wider range of sound than us humans, so to them, a clap of thunder can sound like a bomb going off.
They can also sense a drop in the air pressure โ something that happens when we have a storm โ which must be pretty scary to experience.

During a thunderstorm, your pooch might run and hide, whine, bark, or shake. As their owners, the best thing that we can do to help during a storm is to simply to be there for our pets and provide a calming presence.
In a video posted by Twitter user @akkiwts, a frightened pooch is hiding in the utility room as a storm rages outside.
But he doesnโt have to go through the storm alone.
In a touching turn of events, a small toddler can be seen comforting the dog and trying to make it feel better.

The little guy starts by stroking his pet lovingly on the head before getting to his feet and offering the frightened dog a cuddle.
He does this whilst continuously talking to the canine using his own little language, which weโve decided is toddler-speak for, โItโs a scary world when things go โboom,โ but weโll be okay together!โ
What a caring little toddler!
This little guy comforting his buddy during a thunderstorm is the best thing youโll see today ๐๐๐

The post received lots of love and positive comments on Twitter.
One user said,
โSo glad I saw this. Helps cheer me up after all the fear and uncertainty in the world right now.โ
Whilst in a hilarious response to the toddler being kitted out in only his diaper, another simply commented,
โSome heroes wear Huggies.โ
Another person said,
โNeeded this today! After evacuating today for gas leak and worries over coronavirus and feelings of insecurity, this is just what the doctor ordered. Thank you Akki for spreading joy everyday.โ

This isnโt the first time a child has shown their incredible sense of love during times of distress.
In May 2018, the world was blessed with this video of a little boy comforting his nervous dog through a thunderstorm.
In the heartwarming video, the toddler can be heard saying, โItโs okay, silly, itโs just a storm,โ while he cuddles up to his beloved pet and does an adorable imitation of the thunder sounds outside.
Children really do have the most caring souls. It is so nice to see some positivity during these challenging times.
