Our bathroom can easily be the filthiest room in the house. It can get moldy, hairy, and downright stinky. So, we want to make sure that weโre cleaning it as thoroughly as possible without having to bust out butts in the process.
These bathroom cleaning hacks will make that process as easy as possible.
Here are some genius ways to clean your bathroom that you probably didnโt know about.
Mirrors
Mirrors can get extra nasty in your bathroom and covered with toothpaste splatter. Brew three bags of black tea in 8 0z. of water. Put it in a spray bottle and spray a coat over your mirror. Wipe down with newspaper for a streak-free shine. You may want to do two or three coats.
Exhaust Fan
You a can of computer air duster to clean out the dust from your bathroom exhaust fan.
Shower
Clean all of the soap scum out of your shower by filling a dishwashing scrubber with half vinegar and half liquid soap. Using the scrubber makes the job so easy you can even do it while youโre showering.
Shower Head
Fill a bag with vinegar and wrap it around your shower head and secure it with a rubber band.
Hard Water Stains on Fixtures
Use a lemon to rub hard water stains off of your fixtures.
Bleach Grout
Use a bleach pen to bleach the tile grout in your bathroom.
Fixture Gunk
Clean away gunky build up and tough hard water stains by wrapping your fixtures with a cloth and soaking the cloth in vinegar for 30 minutes. When itโs done soaking, scrub everything away with an old toothbrush.
Shine Fixtures
Shine up your chrome fixtures with baby oil or shaving cream.
Soap Dispenser and Toothbrush Holder
If you think it will fare well, toss these in the dishwater.
Shower Liner
You can actually toss your shower liner into the washing machine instead of scrubbing it by hand.
Toilet
Pour some vinegar in the top of your toilet well. Then, soak wads of toilet paper with vinegar and stuff it up under the rim of your toilet. Let it sit there while you scrub the inside of the toilet with a brush. When youโre done you can pull out the TP wads.
Soak Your Toilet Brush
Pour some Pine Sol, bleach or any all-purpose cleaner into the well of your toilet brush holder. Keep it filled at all times to keep your brush clean.
Clear a Clogged Drain
Drop two tablets of Alka Seltzer down your drain and pour a cup of vinegar after it. Wait a few minutes and then flush it with hot water.
