For some people, the thought of ‘tiny home living’ sounds unbearable. Living in a small amount of square footage certainly has its challenges, but if it’s done right? It can seem like a much larger, livable space than you ever imagined.
The Cottage Company, based in the Pacific Northwest, is creating gorgeous, compact, sustainable homes. Their Kvale Hytte Cottage is every homeowner’s dream.
According to their site, the company is dedicated to “building pocket neighborhood communities of compact homes.” All of their cottages and homes for sale are meant to be a small amount of square footage, with a lot of livable open space.
The Kvalle Hytte Cottage is a stunning example of one of their compact, eco-friendly homes. It was even built in one of America’s nicest places to live, located in a community called Conover Commons in Redmond, Washington. The area has earned multiple NAHB Builders Choice Grand & Merit Awards and the AIA 2009 National Housing Award.
The cottage, along with the surrounding 5-acres overflowing with flowers and plants, looks like something out of a fairy tale.
At just 1,069 square feet. The Kvale Hytte cottage offers a luxurious option to the compact-home world. Get ready to fall in love.
