Huskies are drama queens! Have you ever seen a video of a husky talking back to its owner? Of course you have! They’re some of the best videos on the internet!

Well it’s no different for a very special Husky indeed, Zeus!

Zeus’ mom captured a great video of Zeus being horribly upset that his water bowl is empty and making a huge stink about it!

The video opens up with a hilarious image – Zeus standing in his empty water bowl, just staring!

Pretty quickly, Zeus begins doing what huskies do best.

Vocalizing.

Just look at this big guy’s face while he’s crying to his mum!

This is a really common trait in huskies and a few other dog breeds.

Huskies are incredibly intelligent dogs and rather than simply barking at you, they will try and “talk” to you to tell you something is amiss.

MyHappyHusky.com puts it quite plainly:

“This is a direct way of gaining your attention and letting you know that they want something. Dog’s are more simple than us, your husky won’t be gossiping about what happened at the coffee shop the other day…They’ll be telling you that they need to go potty! or that it’s 5 minutes past mealtime!

“The list can be endless, but 90% of the time, your husky will be trying to tell you something specific. It’s normal to have no idea what they’re trying to say, but usually, the situation, time of day and events leading up to the talking can often give you an idea of what they’re asking for.”

A lot of the instagram posts from Zeus are about his vocalizations!

Zeus’ mom is definitely sassy with him and their relationship is pretty adorable to say the least.

She’s sarcastic and snarky with him and letting him know what a cry baby he’s being!

She eventually gets him to get out of his bowl so that she can clean and fill it.

But that doesn’t stop Zeus from continuing to complain!

He even watches with great anticipation as she’s cleaning out the bowl and filling it, and they continue to have their own owner/pet conversation of a sort!

Even Kaden, the german shepherd, is looking at Zeus like “dude, what are you doing?”

It’s only when Zeus’ mom puts the water bowl back down in front of him that he finally stops his whining! It’s so odd and adorable in its own way.

Zeus is clearly very happy to be able to lap up some nice cold water again!

You probably noticed that Zeus’ eyes are two different colors! This is called heterochromia, and is a trait found in a lot of huskies and other dog breeds as well, including Australian Shepherds, Dalmatians, and even Chihuahuas!

“The color of the iris is determined by the presence of pigment, also known as melanin […] The iris in most dogs and cats has high amounts of melanocytes that give it the normal dark to golden-brown color. Pets with blue eyes have a genetic mutation in the genes that is responsible for regulating the concentration and distribution of melanin. This results in the absence of melanocytes in the iris, giving them blue eyes.” -Dr. Doug Payne, medical director at VCA East Penn Animal Hospital in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania

Heterochromia isn’t always inhereted in genes, it can happen over a dog’s life because of injuries, sickness or even just medications sometimes!

For Zeus, it gives him a really unique look, and he’s very pretty because of it!
