“Hey remember how you wanted a kitten? I went to the pet store today!” the man gleefully asks Clyde.

Clyde opens his mouth as if trying to say something. As we could not decipher dog speech, his human interjects with his own voice, saying, “No way!” It was as if Clyde was really speaking at him!

Their little skit continued with the owner progressing on their conversation. Clyde is getting anxious and excited, especially when his human tries to lead him towards the door. Clyde jumps up to his human, saying, “Well come on, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!”

The conversation that follows is adorably cute.

Clyde’s owner wanted to keep the suspense up for much longer seeing the dog so rearing to learn about his surprise. The man tells his excitable pup, “Well hang on, keep your collar on.”
Their conversation continued with Clyde saying,

“Huh?”

“You wanted a cat?”

“Yep.”

“You wanted a girl?”

“Yep.”

“A tabby?”

Clyde begins to get excited again. “That’s right. Oh I can’t believe you’ve got me a cat! Where is she? Is she out here?”

Clyde’s owner loves to play with his mind for some more, revising his story every time just to confuse the doggo. The man mentioned seeing snakes, and Clyde gave off a bad reaction. Followed by gerbils, hamsters, and mice, which in turn made Clyde feel the excitement once again.

“Yep, yep, yep- oh that’s it!” Clyde shouts. “That’s where you stop because that’s what you’re going to get me.”

The list went on for much longer, until it came to seeing hermit crabs at the store. Clyde could not keep the suspense for much longer as he was getting impatient at his owner. The dog stomped his paws to the floor in frustration as he looks away from his owner. Seeing the dog, the man tried to calm him down. Their little conversation continued until Clyde finally asks, “What’s going on?”

“I went to the pet store, saw the turtles…” Clyde’s owner begins to laugh.

At this moment, a tiny meow of a kitten can be heard in the background. Clyde immediately whips his head around in search of the noise. “What was that?”

“Well let me tell you. I went to the pet store, there were shelter kittens, so I picked one up,” Clyde’s owner finally says.

Clyde’s reaction couldn’t be any better. “No way! You brought me a cat!” he exclaims.
