They say the best moments are often the unplanned ones. The spontaneous ones. Except when you’re dancers it’s usually better to be prepared and know exactly what song you are dancing to. Well in life… there’s always a twist.

For this pair of Swing dancers, they had no idea what they were dancing to for they were at the mercy of the DJ.

Imagine their surprise when the song played. What a delightful turn of events when a classic Disney song from a classic Disney film is your tune. These two don’t hold back.

This dance is so unique and so much fun to watch you will be smiling and humming along guaranteed.

Laszlo Tarkanyi and Stefanie Tschom are about ready to dance while surrounded by friends and claim that they are feeling “adventurous”. Well how about a little trip back to the jungle then?

The two dancers have no clue what they’re dancing to but on that “adventurous” note, the host goes on to encourage the DJ to pick a song that suits “adventurous”. The host says to the dancers,

“I’m just gonna’ say, we’ll pray for you.”

Well this DJ knows what he’s doing. He starts of the track slowly, allowing Laszlo and Stefanie time to warm up and get in to position. Then the song starts and… Is that from The Jungle Book? It is!

The Bare Necessities” comes on and that familiar singing voice of Baloo the bear is unmistakable. The surrounding onlookers laugh and cheer along to the happy tune as Tarkanyi and Tschom smile together. Time to dance.

The Jungle Book is originally an animated film from 1967 produced by Walt Disney Productions. Based on the book written by Rudyard Kipling of the same name, it follows the story of Mowgli, a feral child raised by wolves in the jungles of India along with his friends, Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear.

Liszlo and Stefanie get right on to it with the West Coast Swing filling the room with energy as they step about and flow with the melody with fantastic footwork and it is obvious how highly skilled these two are.

Now being a talented dancer is one thing, but to pull off a great performance with a partner, they should have strong chemistry.

Their friends can’t help but smile and tap along to the song and for every cool move the two dancers pull off, they draw cheers from their friends. What great people!

Laszlo and Stefanie inject some fun and playfulness in to their dance and are obviously having a wonderful time. The song is perfect too with lyrics that seem to match the mood in the room.

“Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife”

This uplifting song was written by Terry Gylkison and sung by Phil Harris as Baloo and Bruce Reitherman as Mowgli.

These two asked for “adventurous” and they got it. And wow did they pull it off! They won first-place at the Strictly Open final amidst the cheers and standing ovation. Talk about talent!
