Open fields, rolling hills, rivers, mountains, trees… The country life is as much a part of America as are the bustling urban cities and and corporate folk.

Rural America’s many contributions to society are generally overlooked and given little thought. But the raw materials, food, drinking water, and clean air are undeniably from the country. And the country still has major influences in modern society.

Nearly 72 percent of America’s land area can be classified as rural. 46 million people work hard to make ends meet and to provide the country with the essentials to survive.

So what do these hardworking rural folk do at the end of a long day?

Well if movies are anything to go by, that would include a visit to the local bar where they can enjoy a drink, a good meal, and music. Country music, of course. And what goes with music? Dancing!

Line dancing as a matter of fact. It is a dance that is so “country” there’s no denying where it came from.

Look at these good looking men and women. White button downs tucked in to jeans, pants for men, “Daisy Duke” shorts for women, hats and boots all while forming rows and lines.

They’ve attracted quite a crowd outside what looks to be like a mall or a row of establishments. I mean when you look that good people are sure to take notice.

The dance is exactly what the name implies. People dancing in lines to choreographed steps that are simply repeated and performed in unison to a beat that reminds one of the country life. It’s really fun too!

It is so simple and so easy to catch on, it doesn’t matter if you’re single or have never danced before. Just fall in line and follow along!

The steps are cool to watch. It’s like a shuffle and step and spin with a few claps thrown in. They even tilt their hats every so often and give a soft kick for good measure. Can you keep up?

Ignore the red Ferrari 430 in the back. Whoever owns it is probably watching too anyway. And he’ll need a truck if he wants to go “country”.

It’s not line dancing if it’s not the USA! Check out those scarfs on their hats and back pockets. Red, white, and blue all the way for these cowboys and cowgirls. Why drive a Ferrari when you can have a Mustang, right?

Now we don’t know for sure if these guys and gals are actual rural folk but there’s no mistaking that the influence and the lifestyle are here to stay.

Line dancing and other forms of dance from the America of old are still amazingly popular even among the younger generations.

Look at that crowd. You can see some of them with their phones out just recording the moment. We’re willing to bet those guys started emulating the dance when they got back home. That’s one way of keeping it alive!

They have over 4.1 million views too and you can believe that everyone still wants a taste of that country flair.
