Looking back to those childhood days, do you remember the people that you idolized? Those characters you glorified and wished to someday meet or be. If it might have been a favorite teacher, superhero, tv character, or athlete, they all meant a great deal to our younger selves.
The importance of having a childhood hero sculpted the way we treat others around us and ourselves.
They gave us something to look up to during the good and bad times. Even if that hero was the brontosaurus Little Foot from Land Before Time. Every idol has it’s meaning to a child and it’s wonderful to know kids nowadays still have wonderful heroes to admire.

A visit to Florida couldn’t be complete without a trip to Disney World, and this 4-year-old Belle really came prepared. As she was strolling around the Hollywood Studios park in her epic costume, Belle was becoming an instant hit!
She was dressed in her very own BB-8 droid costume, capturing the hearts of visitors and employees.
Belle made some stormtrooper friends who insisted she meets the character she admires. When giving a child the rivetting opportunity to meet someone they usually see on the big screens, the nerves definitely come to play.
Although it’s an exciting day for four-year-old Belle, she was very nervous to meet her twin.
But that didn’t last long when the stormtroopers showed her to the real BB-8 droid. As each sliding door opened and Belle became more and more thrilled to see the character she admires. There was uncontrollable excitement in the entire room, even the staff couldn’t contain their happiness.
You can’t miss this cuteness overload as she waddled her way to the BB-8, the adorable meter was off the charts.
Even an employee dropped to there knees at the sight of this twintastic meeting!
It’s hard not to giggle watching this sweet introduction, as Belle lets everyone know
“I am just a little girl!”
so her disguise won’t fool anyone thinking that she is a real droid. Belle gave her new BB-8 friend a hug thank you and waddled back to her mom.
The employees were even tearing up while watching this wholesome moment.
When you watch a child meet their hero you can’t help but think about how exhilarated you would have been when you were a kid. Those sweet memories are ones you’ll never forget, even if they become a faint memory.
It’s important for kids to have positive role models in their lives even if they are ones they see on television.
Children deserve heroes that are kind and inspiring and we also need to remember the impression we make on children when they are like little sponges. In a child’s eyes, we might even look like superheroes.
Everyone who was involved in that incredible day was brought a lot of sunshine in their lives.
For Belle, she definitely felt like a superstar after that celebrity encounter.
