At the age of 3, Little Quinn hasn’t been allowed to go outdoors and aside from his immediate family, no one is also allowed to see him. For any parent, it’s hard to see that your child can’t enjoy the world but they need to do this for his own good.
How can you cheer up a boy who has endured so much for his age? Little mighty Quinn is 3 and at his very young age, he’s already been battling cancer. Today, he’s recovering from his treatment for his cancerous brain stem tumor that has caused his immune system to temporarily shut down. This means that Quinn can get sick immediately.
This is the reason why Quinn’s parents aren’t taking any chances. He is not allowed to go out and people aren’t allowed to come in and see him let alone play with him.
“Even a cold, a common cold could be something that will bring him back into the hospital,”
said Tara Waters, Quinn’s Mom.

For any parent, it’s so hard to see your young boy wanting to go out and enjoy the sun, the grass, and just play around but it is for his own good. Seeing him stare out the window with sad eyes can be heartbreaking but somehow, something wonderful is about to happen.

It all started with their family members, as Jarlath and Tara Waters remembers how this beautiful event started. Quinn’s family members would come to him playing with him through the window – making him giggle. Then his neighbors started visiting him through his front lawn playing with him and engaging with no-contact activities. It was all so sweet!

That’s just the beginning of this wonderful event. Strangers began visiting Quinn and they started showing off their songs, dance, and even not-so-common tricks – all for Quinn to be happy.
This started a trend and before they knew it, people have been coming to their home performing all their best for little Quinn.
“The window kind of became his window to the world,”
as Jarlath remembers, smiling.

You might think that this is already beautiful but as weeks went by, even top-notch performers from dancers, singers, police officers, cheerleaders, and even dog shows came in to entertain Quinn. It was all so beautiful and would bring anyone to tears.
People started calling this the Quinn-dow, where every day, little Quinn gets different surprises. Just seeing him smile makes everything worth it. His eyes are just full of joy! Seeing this young brave boy battling his sickness and seeing people coming in, doing their best to entertain him is more than just beautiful.

“It’s the positive energy from all these people that we believe has gotten him through his sickness. We could never repay, just maybe, pay it forward,”
teary-eyed as Jarlath tells in his CBS Evening News interview.
Quinn’s parents are more than just grateful to everyone who went their way just to make their little boy happy.

No matter what trials life gives you, no matter how hopeless a situation might seem to be, there will always be a reason to be happy and this has been proven by these kind-hearted and sweet strangers who showed their love for The Mighty Quinn.
