Last week a video created by men’s rights activists (MRAs) began circulating on the internet. Supposedly entitled The Last Jedi: De-Feminized Fanedit, the movie was Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, minus all scenes featuring a female performer.
The anonymous creator described it as:
…basically The Last Jedi minus Girlz Powah and other silly stuff.
The edit was obviously an incredibly sexist gesture, and the team behind The Last Jedi openly mocked it on Twitter:

Fortunately, Twitter user @LoganJames had the perfect response. Knowing tit for tat was fair play, he released a version of Saving Private Ryan with all the men edited out.
The video fit easily into a Twitter post, since, without any men, the movie is only two and a half minutes long.

Ryan’s edit quickly went viral, so he followed up with a male-free version of another classic: The Shawshank Redemption:

Most people loved the @LoganJames cuts:

These new versions might have garnered enough praise to premiere in theaters…

Most people can probably agree that no sane person would want to cut the incredible Daisy Ridley or Carrie Fisher out of a movie.
Also, watching these male-less versions of cinema classics will save you loads of time.
