Some people believe in ghosts, some people don’t, either way there was something messing with the items in this British garden shed. Stephen Mckears kept finding that some of the little things from his shed had been rearranged. not in a bad way, strangely, this mysterious visitor seemed to be tidying up.
It was if some ghost was stopping by solely to tidy up his workstation. Clips, screws, and hose clamps were finding their way off of his cluttered desk and put neatly into a box sitting nearby. Mckears could not figure out what could possibly be doing this since it clearly wasn’t him.
Conducting a small experiment of his own before calling in more help, he emptied the small tote onto his desk. Sure enough, the next morning everything was neatly picked up and back in the tote. “I thought I was going mad.” Mckears said of the phenomenon.
Luckily Mckears had neighbor and friend Rodney Holbrook to help him solve the mystery maid of his garden shed. Holbrook is a skilled wildlife photography, so the two set up a trail camera in the shed on the workstation to see what they could catch on camera. Holbrook’s experience definitely helped in what they saw on the camera.
When they went back through the video, the culprit was none other than a small, yet determined, little mouse picking up every screw and bolt and putting it away in the tote, just to clean up his own home.”The cute mouse was was chucking things into the box- we thought it was a ghost or something at first. I thought, I have to see this for myself.” said Holbrook on how he got involved in the mystery.
The mouse’s skills were quite impressive. He was lifting things that were sometimes twice his size and in the video you can see the mouse struggling to lift certain objects all the way to the edge of the tote. “The heaviest thing was the plastic attachment at the end of a hosepipe- and the chain of an electric drill. I didn’t know what it was at first. The kids were saying it was a ghost.” Mckears said.
“I’ve been calling him Metal Mickey but some people have been saying he’s just mouse proud,” Mckears joked. “I was quite amazed to see it- it is an amazing mouse.”
Once the video was shared, it gained a lot of popularity, and people loved Mckears mouse maid. “”I am willing to pay the mouse any amount of cheese it wants if it comes and shows my kids how to tidy up.” one YouTuber commented. “Mouse has OCD… couldn’t bear messy humans.” said another user.
Some users were even jealous that this man found a mouse that tidied up instead of ruined things. This little guy may not know it but not only did he do Mckears a favor, but also provided some pretty hilarious entertainment for everyone else.
