Every time I throw away a container I’ve used into the garbage, I always have the feeling that I’m throwing something away that could be reused. Most of the time, however, I can’t find a good scenario to reuse the container, so I unfortunately still end up throwing a lot of them away. Until now.
In the following photos, you’ll see ingenious ways of how you can reuse common containers you find around the house. Instead of tossing them into the recycling bin next time, try out any of these tips. Trust me, it’s good to recycle, but it’s even better to reuse and never recycle in the first place.

1. Folgers coffee bins
The next time you’re thinking about throwing away coffee containers, try transforming them in to storage containers for the kitchen, bathroom, or laundry room. They’re perfect for holding flour or sugar in the kitchen, and detergent and dryer sheets in the laundry room!
2. Clorox wipe containers
Instead of throwing away Clorox wipe containers, try decorating them and transforming them into containers that can easily dispense bags such as garbage bags. How useful is that!?
3. Milk jugs
Oftentimes when you pack a sandwich into a plastic bag, it gets soggy and squished by lunchtime. So the next time you’re about to throw away gallon milk jugs, try converting them into plastic tupperware that you can place sandwiches into. It’s an easy way to create tupperware that you won’t be scared that your child will lose!
4. Laundry detergent tubs
Instead throwing out laundry detergent tubs, try painting and decorating them and transforming them into tiny trash cans you can place all around the house!
5. Icebreaker tins
