Reddit, also known as the front page of the internet, is an interesting place. With over 542 million monthly visitors, the website hosts discussions on innumerable topics.
Redditors, as reddit users have come to be called, are an enthusiastic bunch, impassioned and educated about a variety of topics— and when these people get together, they have been known to move mountains.
Their accomplishments even include solving the 20-year mystery surrounding a deceased teen known only as “Grateful Doe”.
Most recently, redditors got together, showing their heart and compassion, to find a lonely dog a loving, new forever home.
On August 2nd, 2017, reddit user Narya9 posted this heartbreaking picture of a dog named Mack. The post was entitled: “This little guy waiting for his new family to pick him up.”
In a comment, Narya9 reveals that the “Pouty Hippo’s” name is Mack, and he is waiting to be adopted from the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter.
The redditors are completely charmed.
Exactly 7 days later, Narya9 makes an update, writing:
“I posted this puppy a few days ago. today he went to his furever home :)”
The pup’s grin is completely infectious! The transformation is simply remarkable.
As luck would have it, Mack (or Frank, as he is now known) was adopted by another reddit user, KeysOnATable, who updated fellow redditors with another heartwarming snap, writing:
“I was told Frank didn’t look happy enough in my last post.”
Frank the Tank, as the pup has been nicknamed, has gained a ton of reddit fans and now has his own Instagram account with over 7,400 followers!
Redditors just can’t get enough Frank— even going so far as to make fan art depicting the expressive pup!
Frank’s family have been good with updating their following about Frank the Tank’s adventures.
By all accounts, Frank is having a blast with his new ‘furever’ family, which includes big brother Max.
It’s so cool to see what can be achieved when a group of like-minded individuals gets together, even going so far as to find a needy dog a loving, new home!
Although Frank the Tank got lucky, Narya9 reminds everyone that there are still many pets that are up for adoption. The reddit user urges everyone:
“Make another animal as happy as this furry guy.”
