When 17-year-old Bailey Murrill unexpectedly became paralyzed, she didn’t know if she would ever walk again.

Doctors at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Texas later told her she would only have a 5 percent of regaining her ability to walk.

She feared never getting to chase around her 7-year-old brother again. New York Daily News reports that Murrill was injured when was horsing around with family members and awkwardly fell on her back causing her to lose feeling in her legs below her hips.

According to USA Today, Murrill had a rare condition that caused her brain to trick her body into thinking it couldn’t walk.

Murrill’s parents never left her side during her time in the hospital.

“I can never thank them enough. They were my rock and I love them more than anything else.” Murrill said.

Despite what doctors said, Murril and her parents leaned on their faith in God.

“My family and my support system and myself never lost our faith in God and put everything in his hands.” Murrill told USA Today.

And Murrill’s nurse didn’t give up on her either and always kept faith that her patient would walk. So, when Murrill miraculously started walking again 11 days later, her nurse was one of the first people she wanted to tell.

Murrill underwent physical therapy and was placed in a machine that made her start to feel sensations in her legs.

Then her hamstring started flexing.

“We waited it out and the same way the feeling left my legs it returned,” she said.

She knew she needed to go and find her favorite nurse.

“She had brought me so much joy at a time I needed it that I decided to bring her some,” she said.

The big surprise was caught on video.

It shows the teen in her wheelchair approaching the nurse.

The nurse greets her with loving open arms even though she had just been stuck in an elevator for an hour.

That’s when Murrill stood up from her wheelchair.

The nurse immediately started screaming and praising God.

“Thank you Lord! Thank you Lord!” she screams as she hugged and cried with Murrill.

Pretty much everyone else in that hallway started crying too.

The nurse told Murrill that she had been praying for her.
