Fashion trends are always changing. Some stick… and some don’t.
Some come back and some die forever.
And this occurs with clothing, furniture, and even nails.
It all depends on what people prefer.
And some nail trends are meant to stun and shock.
There are hair nails that use real hair. The tooth nail which looks like teeth are coming off your nails.
You also have the pimple popping nails that actually puss when you pop them.
There’s the butt pooping nail and nails that have real live ants in them.
We’ve seen some pretty horrifying and disgusting looking things come out of the nail community.
But that’s just my opinion.
Some people find these things to interesting or like the weird grotesqueness of it.
Who am I to judge? But it is safe to say that these people like to push the envelope. I guess it’s better than being boring.
The latest trend in nail art has some people scratching their heads.
We all know that having long nails is desirable in the nail community.
People even use acrylics and other materials to extend their nails. And the shape of our nails also changes with the trends.
While people once filed their nails to be square or round, people are now going to for the stiletto nail look while files the nail to be sharp and pointy.
It makes the nail look badass, dangerous, and downright sexy.
But now people are extending that look to their toenails. Before that trend started with people opting to grow their toenails for a longer look.
Then they started growing them longer… and longer. Then nail technicians started adding acrylic extensions to toenails so that they would stick out far past the length of your toe.
From there the shape of the nail started to change. It went from a square nail to a more almond-shaped nail.
And from there, people went with full blow stiletto toenail extensions. They basically look like bear claws.
Which I guess could be cool (who doesn’t want to be a bear sometimes) but I would imagine that these types of nails make it impossible to wear shoes.
So, it’s probably a look you can only rock in the summer when you wear flip flops and other kinds of open-toed shoes.
I wonder if this nail job was just done for social media attention or if people are actually walking around with stiletto bear claw toes.
The post of the bear claw toenails ended up receiving more than 35,000 likes on Instagram but I haven’t seen a single positive comment.
“Repulsive,” said one Instagrammer.
“The girl be looking like Kali from ‘Teen Wolf,'” said another.
“As someone who wears shoes, wtf,” and another.
“Unless u wanna look like Mavis from ‘Hotel Transylvania,'” and another.
