“Challenge accepted!” this is something that we have been hearing and seeing often. Most often it’s because of a YouTube dance or a meme, but most of the time, it’s a TikTok challenge.
If you are someone who loves using TikTok, then you also know how addicting this app is. From dubbing, dancing, and accepting challenges, both young and old are getting addicted to using this application.
One of the “TikTok challenges” that went viral this year is the Four (4) Generations challenge where in the kids call out to their parents, who then pop into the frame to proceed calling their own parents. Then their parents call out to their own parents to say “hi”. In just a few seconds, 4 generations are seen in this fun video app challenge.
Why did it go viral?
While there are a lot of viral challenges and videos circulating on the Internet, this one is different. Not only did it go viral but it has already touched so many people and their reactions are too adorable! You might wonder, what made it go viral?
Cuteness overload! Well, we all have to admit, this challenge is oh-so-cute! From the young child that calls for his “Papa” or “Mama to the elderly men and women who also calls for their own parents, it just gives this warm feeling inside of us. “Mama”, “Papa”, these words are familiar to all of us. Oh, did we also mention how adorable these great grandmothers are?
Family is everything. Close family ties is something to treasure and having your grandparents and great grandparents is in fact something to be grateful for. This challenge reminds us to pay tribute and to remember our elders. It brings back memories of love and childhood.
Long life is another thing to be grateful for. Seeing your parents, your grandparents, and even your great grandparents to still be strong and fun, that they are able to join these types of challenges does make life happy.
It’s a TikTok challenge! Of course, this is one reason why it went viral. No doubt about it. Until today, these videos are still circulating online, still capturing the hearts of many people and still showing us how love, respect, and even TikTok videos can strengthen the bond between families.
Twitter users replied to one post showing a collection of the four generations challenge and their reactions were funny, beautiful, and also heartwarming.
Some said that they started crying while watching the videos. Some commented that the video was too adorable and made them teary-eyed. Another user also said that it’s a great way to show happy families and how proud they were.
While other comments included sadness for missing their own loved ones, those who didn’t get the chance to meet their grandparents and great grandparents.
What’s great about this is that it inspired other families to share their own photos and even do their own version of the TikTok challenge and even posting it online.
