Reunion stories are often absolutely heartfelt and touching. Seeing someone again after weeks, months or even years apart will truly make your heart melt and it makes for an absolutely unforgettable moment. The same thing definitely applies to pets: most of them can’t stand it when their owner is gone for longer periods of time, even if it’s only a day and a half.
German Shepherds are absolutely loveable dogs who truly appreciate the bond they share with their owners.
They’re intelligent and focussed pups, and will often realize sooner than other four-footers when their owners are missing.
“They’re intelligent and capable working dogs. Their devotion and courage are unmatched. And they’re amazingly versatile, excelling at most anything they’re trained to do: guide and assistance work for the handicapped, police and military service, herding, search and rescue, drug detection, competitive obedience, and–last but not least–faithful companion,” expert website Dogtime writes about the breed.
It’s defintely not surprising to see so many roles of support dogs and military dogs being fulfilled by German Shepherds, as they’re the ideal candidate for the demanding job. Aside from being known as excellent working dogs, Shepherds are also perfect family pooches as well. They’ll stay your best friend forever, will form an unbreakable bond with the people they love and will protect their owners at all costs.
This adorable Shepherd, who listens to the name Johann, can’t stand it when he’s separated from his human mom.
He doesn’t do well on his own and will be anxious and nervous whenever his owner isn’t around. For this pooch, every hour apart is an hour too long – and he’ll be completely lost without Mom around.
One time, mom had to leave the house for 36 hours, about a day and a half.
Most reunion videos and stories with pets usually involve months apart, but this precious pup simply misses his mom very, very much – even if it’s just for a little while. Even though mommy obviously didn’t have intentions to leave Johann forever, it must’ve felt that way for the German Shepherd judging by his reaction when mom finally returned home.
It’s absolutely amazing and adorable to look at, but also quite touching: the bond we make with animals can really affect them greatly, and this is a perfect example of that.
The moment Mom walks through the front door, Johann goes absolutely wild as he furiously starts wagging his tail.
Slowly, the pooch seems to realize that mommy has finally returned and he simply can’t contain all of his excitement. Because Johann is quite a big pooch, mom even has difficulties just sitting down – the affectionate four-footer won’t let her out of his sight!
And the smile on his face really says it all – Johann simply can’t stop grinning! It’s more than obvious that these two have developed a very special bond. Johann doesn’t want to leave her side and wouldn’t know what to do without her.
Of course, the reunion is accompanied by dozens of affectionate licks and hugs – this is what true love looks like.
