The world loves Michelle Obama is no longer a subjective sentence!

According to an online research firm, YouGov.org, Obama replaced Angelina Jolie as the worldโ€™s most admired woman.

Within the United States, Michelle took the top spot as well while her husband, Barack, placed second.

Trailing Obama as the most admired women in the world is Oprah Winfrey and Angelina Jolie, respectively.

Obama just recently hit an extremely impressive career milestone when her book sold 10 million copies. Itโ€™s believed to be the best-selling memoir in history.

Not only has the book been wildly successful, Obama embarked on a sold out tour to promote it.

In โ€œBecomingโ€, Obama writes about her life from the early days of living in Chicago to life after she and her family left the White House.

Obama had taken a lot of nasty and downright inexcusable taunting and harassment from the American people when her husband was President. But instead of giving in, she chose to take the high road. Her slogan, โ€œwhen they go low, we go highโ€ summarizes how she dealt with much of the bullying.

Hailing from the South Side of Chicago, Obama grew up in the era of segregation. She attended Princeton and immediately felt out of place. When one of the counselorโ€™s told her she wasnโ€™t โ€œPrinceton material,โ€ Obama knew the counselor was wrong.

Obama didnโ€™t stand by idly waiting for titles such as โ€œthe most admired woman in the worldโ€ to come to her. Sheโ€™s earned her place amongst some of the most influential and respected women in history.

Seldom seen without a smile, Obama took full advantage of her role as First Lady while in the White House.

To highlight a couple of her achievements, Obama led the Letโ€™s Move! campaign in an effort to combat childhood obesity. She also led, Letโ€™s Move! Active Schools. In the school program, Obama was often seen dancing and laughing with students from various schools in an attempt to keep them moving.

Obama made these things fun for both adults and kids because she wasnโ€™t afraid to be silly, laugh, and dance. These things werenโ€™t done as openly with the First Ladys before her. She made learning and being healthy fun.

All of these traits point to why Obama is such an admired woman. A woman of grace and compassion, sheโ€™s remained humble and even relatable for someone of such prominence.

Some took to Twitter to echo their voices for the people in the back

One user tweeted that it was no surprise:

Another user agreed referring to her as โ€œan American treasureโ€:

One user tweets that she is such a fan of Obama, that she would actually die to meet her (we hope it never comes to that!).:

Not everyone may be as thrilled to hear the news but the critics need not matter at the moment. They really never should. Because itโ€™s moments like these where itโ€™s proven that the voiceless indeed do have a voice.

Like her husband, Obamaโ€™s mere presence give many people of color, young and old, hope. This is something neither seem to forget.

Michelle states in her book:

โ€œIt would be easy to think youโ€™re something special. Just remember that there are millions of people who grew up just like you did and donโ€™t get this kind of spotlight. Reflect the light back on them.โ€
