One of the most popular things on the internet is when we get to watch how things are made.
There simply is a lot to watch on the internet these days. It is quite entertaining to know that there are tons of interesting works out there that can calm our minds and souls just because they are too satisfying to watch.
Who would have known that watching people sawing a big tree into slabs can be very calming and satisfying? It is not just an appreciation of how hard the job is but the skills that are shown as we watch how one big tree can be transformed into massive slabs of wood that we use for tables, building houses, and a lot more.
Belko Wood, a YouTube channel, is one of the most viral channels on the video-sharing platform when it comes to woodwork.
The channel has more than 198,000 subscribers and their videos are viewed millions of times. Their Instagram account also has more than 20.7K followers.
One of its videos even reached beyond 56.2 million views! The said clip shows the guys sawing a big and bulky oak tree and something unbelievable is found as they worked on the tree.
The oak tree the team is working on is quite massive.
It is not easy to transform the tree into slabs, but the guys have their equipment made to complete such a task. With careful measurements and focused work, the oak tree will be cut into pieces in just a few hours.
As the guys worked on the big tree, they noticed that its middle part seems a bit different. The color is not just hues of brown like any other oak tree. Instead, some specks of black started to come out as they saw the tree slab by slab.
After cutting a few more slabs, the guys start to notice that the black matter starts to become more and more pronounced.
It was unusual, but the work needs to be done so they continue on and were eager to find out what was causing the discoloration in the tree. Could it be something unbelievable?
It took a few more slabs before the guys suddenly felt that the last slab that they are sawing through won’t separate from the tree trunk. Something was stuck and they had to know what it is.
The woodworkers pulled on the slab with all their might to reveal what was underneath.
It turned out that a metal bar was inside the tree. The pointy end of it was poking through the sawed-off portion of the trunk, making it difficult for the men to remove the slab that they just cut. The metal was the source of the discoloration.
The spike appears to be something that was once near the oak and as the tree grew, it was embedded in it and has been there since then. It can be a part of a fence or something that was purposely placed in the tree and forgotten.
Whatever the metal spike was, it gave a special color to the tree and made this woodwork even more extraordinary and interesting.
