Traditionally, your friends are the ones who do most of the planning for your bachelor party. You put your total faith in them and see what they come up with, whether it be a crazy adventure or a long night out on the town. However, what if they decided to use your unwavering trust to prank you? That’s exactly what happened to one groom-to-be last year.
When the man allowed his buddies to organize his bachelor party, they told him that they were going to be taking him bungee jumping.
Making matters even more worrisome was the fact that they let him know that he was going to be blindfolded for the whole ordeal. He had no idea at the time, but it turns out, it was all part of an elaborate prank his friends had put together.
While, yes, he was outfitted in some bungee gear and he was going to be making a jump, things weren’t exactly as they seemed.
The friends transported the man blindfolded to a lake. One of the friends ran ahead of the group and found a random lady to pretend like she was the bungee instructor. Then, the entire crew brought the nervous bachelor up to the edge of a dock and got him suited up in a harness with a rope tied to the back.
They even got the unsuspecting man to sign a fake waiver!
“Since you’re blindfolded, hold my hand and I’ll walk you to the edge. We won’t throw you off unannounced, I promise,” the fake instructor said.
“It’s probably better if you do,” the man joked. He then very hesitantly shuffled across the dock. The friends made a fake metal gate opening noise to trick him into thinking he was approaching the perilous ledge.
Everyone in the group did a great job of holding back their laughter.
“That’s a long way down!” one of the guys joked.
“It’s kind of like a belly flop, you just do a gradual fall into it,” another chimed in.
The instructor faked like she was doing a few more last-minute safety checks and the man let her know that it didn’t feel like his harness was tight enough.
They then all counted down from three.
However, he was super nervous, and at first, he couldn’t bring himself to make the blind leap of faith. It took several attempts until he was able to gather the courage, and finally, he just went for it. He leaned forward and plunged directly into the lake just a foot or two below him. Everyone totally cracked up.
The man ripped off his blindfold and started swimming.
“That was crazy! I was going to do it. I would have jumped,” the man said laughing. “You guys are the worst.”
He couldn’t believe it. He fell for the whole prank hook, line, and sinker. After the man climbed up the ladder out of the water, he grabbed his one friend who was fully clothed, held on tight, and threw them both back into the lake together.
It was a bachelor party adventure that the guys will be joking about for many years to come and one that the groom-to-be will never forget. All in all, it was one of the most hilarious pranks we’ve ever seen and something that you just have to check out for yourself.
