All over the world, people have been forced to stay indoors as much as possible since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Staying inside really can save lives by reducing the spread of the virus, and many countries have started to see reduced rates of infection thanks to the effects of lockdowns and quarantines.

In the meantime, the rest of us have all been trying to adjust to this new way of life, and while some folks are simply unable to work from home, others are carrying on, making use of online systems and tools like Zoom to have meetings and catch up with colleagues remotely.

Cara Fields and her husband are just two of the millions of Americans having to adapt to the idea of working from home, while also looking after their kids and trying to stay safe and calm during these difficult times.

Cara works as a Marketing Chief of Staff at Elanco, an animal health company based out of Indiana. She said that the couple’s “work life balance” has vanished since they got locked down, and it hasn’t always been easy to adjust.

Well, in order to lighten up their lives a little and spread some laughter among Cara and her colleagues, her husband has come up with a very funny prank: he constantly ‘Zoom-bombs’ her conference calls in a series of silly outfits.

Whenever Cara is on a video call with her colleagues, there’s always a chance that her husband might walk by and take a seat in the background, dressed up as anything from a Power Ranger to Batman.

Cara finds the whole thing pretty hilarious and decided to share some snaps of her husband’s funny antics over on Linkedin.

From there, the story went viral!

In an interview, Cara revealed that her husband “has always loved wearing ridiculous things in public to embarrass me”.

So, when Cara’s partner saw that she was using their very own dining room as a home office for her conference calls, he saw a prime opportunity for a prank he simply couldn’t resist!

In the early days, Cara’s husband wore whatever funny things he could find around the home like a cowboy hat or a colorful Hawaiian shirt, but as time went on, the outfits became more elaborate!

Friends of the couple started mailing over Halloween costumes like Jason from the Friday the 13th series or Waldo from the Where’s Waldo? books.

Cara says that her colleagues really enjoy her husband’s funny costumes, adding that she always finds it strange when her workmates suddenly start laughing during a call and then she has to turn around to see what kind of ridiculous outfit her husband is wearing this time!

“It has definitely helped people remember to stop and laugh during these times,” says Cara, and that’s probably the most important lesson we can learn from this!

Sure, it might look a little silly, but Cara’s husband is spreading some joy at a time when people need it most. Nice job!
