When you see someone in need, you should help them. And everyone needs a helping hand once in a while. Animals too, including birds.
That’s why one gardener decided to help a baby robin find some food.
The gardener was preparing some soil with a pitchfork when a little robin fluttered on over, taking much interest in the gardener.
This robin took one look at the gardener and saw a free meal ticket. That’s because the gardener was turning up lots of worms when he was raking through the soil. The gardener figured he would play along since it didn’t seem like the robin was going anywhere anytime soon.
So, he began to intently churn the soil while sharpening his eye to look for worms.
“Oooh, I found one already. Did you see that one?” the gardener asked the robin. “There’s one right there.
“Look, look… oh beautiful,” he says watching the robin snatch up the worm hungrily.
The bird was hopping around the dirt pile as the gardener was churning the soil with his pitchfork. She ended up coming a little too close to the pitchfork.
“I almost killed you,” the gardener said chuckling.
Then the gardener spotted another good find.
“Come on, come on,” he tells the bird. “Look, look, look. Oooh, a lot of food here. Oh, wow. You’re so lucky!”
At this point, we’re not sure who’s having more fun… the gardener or the bird.
“Wow, this is the most fun,” the gardener says.
He then lifts his pitchfork and the robin flies over and lands right on top of it. The guy is trying to get some work done and the robin is just not allowing it.
“Get down,” he tells the bird. “Get off! I can’t do anything if you dont move. Understand? Get down!”
The bird has been happily tweeting the entire time, happy to eat all of the worms without any of the effort. As soon as the gardener finds a worm, the robin instantly spots it and gobbles it up.
“She can see it so quick,” the gardener tells the person taking the video. “What a lazy bum.”
He then finds too giant worms and hand feeds them to the robin. After that, she was pretty full and decided to go sit on the fence to digest.
“What a lunch! What meal,” the gardener remarked. “Now she’s resting.”
