Coop-Town Girls

In the always evolving age of DIY projects, we marvel at some of the greatest achievements man can accomplish with simple household tools. Some can be put to fascinating use such as creating an easy to make can opener or even a makeshift spork to improve on your kitchen equipment. In some rare cases, people can take it to the next level and build amazing constructs that bedazzle anyone lucky enough to witness them. That was the case for a couple trying to figure out how to accommodate their flocks of chicken. Until one day, a man mustered the courage and determination to build a mini “Coop-Town” for the lucky chickens. And oh boy, wait until you get a look at this.

Chicken Beauty

The man created what seems like an entire province for his wife’s chickens. The level of detail and dedication put into it clearly shows how much he cares for her and her beloved hens. The photos of the medieval-styled town were posted by a Coleen Thermos. It’s a town that accommodates everything from a restaurant-style saloon to even a jail for those naughty chickens who attempt to escape. But honestly, who would escape such a lavish establishment!

The amount of detail in architecture, material, and painting is truly a masterpiece. The one-story beauty salon called “Saloon Girls” where the chickens exchange eggs for services. The exchange rate is 1 egg equals to 1 hour of service, 1 day equals 6 eggs, and 7 days goes for 12 eggs. Checkout the adorable night lamp outside to account for nighttime hours!

Details That Dazzle

We have the wooden made Rooster Ridge which is a made out of a wooden tank with a pipe that is put underneath that leads into a bowl at the bottom. Set in place to make sure to quench every chickens thirst no matter the time of day. Real nifty thing we’ve got here!

Next up we have the red colored, “Ivery Stables”. No horses are involved in the making of this town, but it wouldn’t hurt to make a little haystack home for those chickens wanting a more secluded get away from their regular homes. The wonderful design sprinkles the town with that country style flavor of having a barn.

Arguably the most head-scratching segment of the Coop-Town is the “Blacksmith” business in the corner. Equipped with a few shiny metallic trinkets and workbenches, the place is fitted to accommodate any chick looking to sharpen their beaks for better food picking. That, or they may be looking to arm themselves from fellow human invaders, which we hope is not the case.

Hands-down the best eye candy of the town has to be its main plaza. The plaza comes with different buildings colored in vibrant green, yellow, and blue with beautiful curtains and tapestries galore. The incredible design combines together to form a very warm welcome for the hens and the adorable curtains placed on the windows are the icing on the cake!

Finally, we have the place where not chicken wants to end up in: Jail. Comically placed in the dead smack center of town, it’s a constant reminder of what will happen when there’s bad behavior roaming the streets of Coop-Town. And if the chickens are not convinced, they can flap their wings hello at a painted image of a chicken behind a cell to see what awaits them in the other side if they try any funny business!

This was an amazing project that truly deserves much praise and recognition. We hope the chickens enjoy every moment in Coop-Town!
