Most animals are extra protective of their offspring; they would not let anyone land a finger on them. This is especially true of mothers. In the animal kingdom, mothers are incredibly wary of their surroundings and tries their best to hide their babies from potential predators. However, there are some who had no problems letting humans pick their babies up.
Take, for example, your pet’s litter. If your pet lets you pick up their babies, then they trust you completely. How about if it’s a stranger?
A stranger happened to pass by a peaceful cattle meadow
One day, a man happened to drive by a peaceful farm situated in Millbrook, Ontario. He saw the beautiful sight of cows feasting on the green grass on the meadow, while others took time to quench their thirst and cool their bodies on the pond. A cow paradise might just be the perfect description of such a wonderful scene. The man, called Dave, was captivated by the sight and he decided to grab his camera to film the entire farm.
While Dave was slowly panning the camera toward the cows, he noticed a troubled cow named Flo by the fence. He ignored it for some time, but he eventually made contact with the cow as it kept on scratching the ground. It was a wonder how long she stayed by that fence, but Dave seemed to pay her no mind.
Flo eventually made the man understand what was happening
Flo was trying to send a message to Dave but it took him some time to get it. The cow paced restlessly near the man, scraped at the ground, and mooed at him. She was doing everything she could to grab his attention. The cow continued staring back and forth at the man and the fence behind her, but Dave did not respond. This went on for about five minutes until the other cows started to assemble around Flo. Then, finally, Dave realized that the cow was trying to call him.
Dave slowly approached the cow crowd and saw that there was a calf still hanging from its umbilical cord and somehow got over the fence. It was Flo’s and he realized that he was mooing at him so that he would help them. He knew that if he didn’t notice it for another minute, the calf could die.
It was a matter of urgency and Dave knew that he is the only one who could save them.
Dave seemed to be a little hesitant about touching the calf. He was clearly cautious that Flo would suddenly attack him. However, he managed to gain the courage to pick the poor calf up and slowly get it over to the other side. Although the fence was powered with electricity, he was careful to not let Flo, or the calf, be shocked more than they should in the process.
There was still a bit of electric shock, but Dave managed to successfully reunite the mother and its newborn calf.

Dave decided to meet the caretakers of the cow farm. While inside, he got to meet Flo and her calf once again. He thought that they forgot him already but he did not expect what happened next. The two calmly approached Dave for the last time as if they wanted to thank him for what he’s done. It certainly is a heartwarming scene.
The cows happily mooed to their home, leaving Dave with satisfaction. It is amazing how Flo showed trust in a stranger and that stranger reciprocated it back by helping them. It truly is a story that’s worth telling.
