Who doesn’t love baseball, especially when it involves two professional teams? After all, it’s the all-American sport. The minute you walk into the stadium, you get a whiff of hot dogs and popcorn. Fans wear the colors of their favorite team and eagerly wait for the action to start.

But before the first pitch goes out, there’s a very important part of every game…the singing of the National Anthem. Sometimes, the individual at the mic is a famous celebrity. Other times, it’s someone from the home team’s town who’s done something wonderful for the community. Then on rare occasions, you’ll see a child walk up to the mic.

That’s exactly what fans saw as part of a Brewers vs Rockies game.

Standing on the sideline in a bright yellow shirt, cut-off jean shorts, and headphones was a young girl. She was the person who was going to sing before the start of the game. Well, as we all know, some kids do have nice voices, but the National Anthem takes real talent to pull off. As she approached the mic, everyone wondered how well she’d do.

Although she smiled, you could see her nervousness.

Standing before tens of thousands of strangers in none other than Miller Park would be hard for anyone…let alone a young girl getting ready to sing the National Anthem. Remember, along with all the attendees, the game was televised. That means millions would watch her perform.

At just 9-years old, this girl was about to blow everyone away.

You can hear the crowd cheering as the announcer introduced Liamani. From the first few notes out of her mouth, you knew this girl had some serious talent. Her voice was strong, clear, and professional. She perfectly belted out every word. Even during the first verse, you could tell she was a pro.

Vibrato and all.

A lot of kids this age might be able to sing this song but not the way Liamani did. Along with a beautiful vibrato, she showcased her skill with runs. Adding in hand gestures, she took her job seriously. The crowd was both shocked and incredibly pleased. Making the performance even more exciting was the fact that she sang it in a relatively high octave.

She holds every note flawlessly.

In listening to her, it’s hard to believe she’s just 9-years-old. Typically, girls this age are focused more on dressing dolls, playing house, and helping their moms bake goodies in the kitchen. I’m sure Liamani enjoys all those things too but with a voice like that, she has a bright future in front of her.

Unbelievable performance.

I think a lot of people who’ve seen this viral video will agree — she sounded better than many professionals with years of experience. At the end of the National Anthem, when she gets to the part “…and the home of the brave,” the crowd goes wild.

When she finishes and turns around, you can see the excitement on her face. She nailed it. Her parents, as well as any vocal coach, must’ve been extremely proud. Not only is she a cutie but she also has a magical voice. What a perfect way to start a baseball game.
