Strange animal relationships are always a joy to watch! Despite the differences in species, many of these funny duos make the best of friends. What makes it even better is when you have two animals who have ZERO business being together, somehow making it work. If anything, it’Contrite lion begs his dog best friend for forgivenesss an inspiration for us humans! If these wildly different animals can get along, why can’t we humans get along? Miki the lion is the perfect example of that!
Miki and his best friend, Camila, are… different. Miki is a lion and Camila is a dog! They live in the same sanctuary and their adorable videos showing their relationship have gone viral (and for good reason)! One photo shows Miki trying to “kiss” Camila’s paw.
But little does he know that Camila simply isn’t in the mood for affection, and when he tries to lift her paw again, she turns and stalks off in the other direction.
In a desperate attempt to make up with his canine friend, Miki then runs after Camila with his tail between his legs, and it’s the most hilarious thing we’ve ever seen!
The video was posted onto YouTube for us all to see, and we just knew that we’d have to share it with you.
Miki is from the Black Jaguar – White Tiger Foundation in Mexico City and the two were discovered together and sent to be rescued. It isn’t clear how they were originally brought together, but it was obvious that the two have been together most of their lives. When they aren’t together, they both get extremely anxious and don’t want to do much.
The sweet video of Miki and Camila was first shared onto YouTube by Toy Quest 101, along with the caption:

Since being posted in 2018, the video now has an amazing 26.9 million views, as well as hundreds of thousands of likes and comments.
In the short clip, Camila can be seen approaching Miki, who politely gives her a kiss on her paw.
But just as Miki goes to do the same back to Camila, the pup shows that she is done with the endeavor! She turns and trots away from her friend without any reason why. Miki immediately feels bad and goes to make up. Too bad we can’t see what happened next!
We don’t know about you, but this video slightly reminds us of an argument between a husband and wife – with the lion being the guilty husband, of course. And we weren’t the only ones who found it so comical! Many people took to the YouTube comments to express their opinion about the video, with one person joking:
“Lion is saying..” we’re on camera.. let’s pretend we love each other”… Dog…”I can’t pretend long enough.””
Another person couldn’t resist a Lion King reference, joking:
“The dog was moving too slow, so the lion told him to mufasa.”
Many people also speculated that the dog was in danger, but luckily, these two are long-standing friends! Watch the hilarious video for yourself below.
