Sweet labrador retriever can’t contain joy meeting her baby sister for the first time

May 28th, 2020

Contrary to what some people think, dogs and kids can mix. That is, of course, with proper training and supervision. Families with pets love how kids can easily get along with dogs, and how dogs in turn actually lend a hand in watching out for the little ones. If you’re still not convinced, the internet has a plethora of heartwarming videos that will pretty much shift your perspective.

In fact, here’s a cute story of a Labrador Retriever meeting her human baby sister for the first time.

This is Stella, and she’s a real sweetheart.

She may be used to having all the love and attention to herself, but she was more than eager to share that with her new sibling.

See, Stella is such a happy dog with a big heart.

Like most Labradors, she loves playing outdoors, being cuddled, and just simply giving her family joy.

So when mom and dad finally brought home Stella’s baby sister from the hospital, the Labrador was eagerly waiting for them by the door.

Like a child excited to finally be an older sibling, Stella met her mom and baby sister with a lot of tail wagging and moving about.

Stella’s mom writes,

“March 14, 2017 was a huge day for Stella. She finally got to meet her 2-day-old baby sister, who was brought home during the appropriately named ‘Winter Storm Stella.’ Stella is one happy Lab, and she even got a little case of the zoomies for the first time since her bilateral TPLO surgery months ago! Stella is back! And her family has grown by 1.”

It was a snowy day when Stella met her baby sister for the first time. And the Labrador’s greeting made the day even more magical than it already was.

Stella was beyond herself with excitement.

She wanted so badly to peep at the little baby sleeping in the carrier that she’d try to squeeze in between spaces and poke her nose near her baby sister.

And for a second there, you could see the adorable infant give a half smile, probably sensing the love and joy Stella couldn’t wait to give her.

Stella definitely has the makings of a great big sister.

More than her sweet, playful nature, Stella also has loyalty and security to offer the newest member of their family.

That’s what makes Labrador Retrievers so incredible. They’re a highly intelligent breed known for being lovable, high-spirited, and reliable. As the ideal companion, Labradors make great pets because of their temperament. Gentle, sociable, and highly trainable, a Labrador is definitely a choice dog breed for any family.

Stella’s little sister is lucky to have someone as sweet and protective as the Labrador.

With mom and dad keeping a close eye on everyone, there’s no doubt the home will be an even happier place for them all. There really is nothing in the world like an amazing relationship between a dog and its family.

Let Stella charm you with the way she bounds excitedly after her mom and sibling as they walk inside the house.
