It is such a special thing when children discover their talents early on in life. To see a young kid pursue their passion — whether it’s dancing, singing, drawing, etc — is such a magical experience.
If someone finds their passion, they should be encouraged to go after it because it is so clear how happy it makes them.
What a lucky train of people!
We recently came across these two young children and boy, can they sing! In a video uploaded in the summer of 2016, we see these two children busking on a New York City train and doing a great job at it. As they ride the Q train, they slide into everyone’s hearts as they serenade them.
There is a boy and a girl. The girl is standing while singing and the boy is playing drums while also singing. They both have beautiful voices as they sing together in unison. Sometimes the boy takes over and attempts a little vocal riff and we have to say, he really nailed it.
It takes a lot of confidence to busk out in the public, whether it’s on the street or on a train. Performing on a train can potentially be even scarier since you are stuck on that train with the same people for the entire duration of the ride. At least when you’re on the street, different people are constantly walking by.
These two kids are brave though and they don’t let any of that get in their way.
Their passion is so clear.
You can tell that these two are out there singing because they really love it. The little boy puts his heart and soul into every word and really tries to play around with it at some parts.
“Love Yourself.”
At the beginning of the clip, it sounds like they are singing the famous tune, “Hotline Bling,” by Drake. Then they switch things up and start singing, “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber.
The Bieber song came out in 2015 but it feels like just yesterday we were all blasting the bop in our cars. It’s a laidback song that’s driven by guitar and vocals, so it makes for a perfect busking song too.
“‘Cause if you like the way you look so much, oh baby you should go and love yourself,” the two sing. It sure is a sassy song, but it’s a good one!
And if you look closely, you can see that behind them, there is a woman who is sitting in the train and absolutely loving their performance. There is a gigantic smile on her face the entire time as she nods and bops to each word they sing. She looks so proud of them.
It’s not every day that you get a great performance on a New York City train, but this was definitely a rare occasion. These little kids did such a great job, we hope they get really big one day.
We really think they will, too. You don’t just have that kind of talent for nothing!
