A trip to Walmart can bring just about anything. There are people from all walks of life there who you could run into. So, really nothing should shock you.
But, one little boy surely turned some heads in his local Walmart in Harrisburg, Illinois.
It wasnโt for acting out or throwing a tantrum or anything like that.

He was actually doing something pretty cool and out of the ordinary.

He decided to belt out a few tunes in front of shoppers. But, he wasnโt just singingโฆhe was yodeling.
Yep, we said yodeling.
Meet Mason Ramsey.
Adorned in his jeans, white shirt, belt, bowtie, and boots, he just stood there in Walmart yodeling his little heart away. You donโt see many people do this, never mind many kids do this, especially at Walmart.

He not only stopped people with their carts in Walmart, but heโs captured the hearts of people all over the internet. Since this video was posted just over two years ago, more than 75 million people have viewed it. It appears they just canโt get enough of this two-minute yodeling video and little Mason.
In about the middle of the video, he really starts to get into it. Heโs tapping his feet and feeling the yodeling beat!

This is certainly one way to pass the time while youโre waiting to check out. While Mason has done this before, Iโm sure thereโs a new audience every time. He must be the talk of the town. Listening to him yodel certainly beats the alternative of reading the tabloids in the checkout line!
Masonโs yodeling has certainly captured the internetโs attention with many people commenting on his singing talents.
Hereโs just a sample of what they have to say:
โYodeling is not easy. Extremely impressive!โ
โHeโs got such a nice voice.โ
โThe best part of this video is, this kid could have been recorded yodeling in any other place possible. But the fact that it was in Walmart, makes it a piece of art.โ
Little Masonโs yodeling ways even got the attention of talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. She had Mason on her show shortly after his yodeling video went viral. Even Ellen could see that there was something special about this little boy.

Besides talking to him, Ellen also had him perform on her show two years ago. Thatโs quite a different stage from Walmart!

When Ellen asked him why he chose to sing at Walmart, he simply said thatโs because itโs the only store they have. He says heโs sung at Walmart a lotโฆ50 million times to be exact!
While weโre sure that was an exaggeration, you can tell this wasnโt his first rodeo in aisle 12. He seems completely comfortable as heโs randomly singing for everyone. Heโs certainly not a shy kid.

While heโs taking Walmart and the internet by storm, Mason says his dream is to sing at the Grand Ole Opry. While thatโs a long way to go, heโs certainly on his way!
